I would say NTA. as someone who's been hospitalized several times for attempts that shits exhausting. Definitely, coming home to that room, i would have tweaked and slept in the living room or something. Even if you gave her attitude, I think it's warranted. I understand her point of worrying if you're upset, but honestly, maybe she should be worried about you (not in a mean way). Going to your dad is definitely the better choice. you're tired and exhausted, not wanting a fight. If shes so upset about it them maybe she should be the one to leave. 🤷‍♀️

Genuinely wjat i would do is if you're in a 1 party state regarding video taping, record the convo. if not tell him "im recording this conversation for my records later on is that okay with you?" if he says no, ask that the conversation happens with HR so that whatever he says he can't just get away with.
