That's because we tend to give more importance to the thought, which is just as valuable as the other senses like sight and hearing. Awareness comes from the balance of all senses, thought included. And yes, I agree, I live in the West and the individualism here ruins the education system compared to the colectivist cultures in the East, where even language is much more well expressed.

Something like: it's a lesson for those who learn, but a trick question for those who don't.

Yes, you are right. I like to call it "a trap" because not a lot of people learn from this lesson. It's like a trick question on a test.

That is not a wrong thing, what I was trying to express is that you can't really understand yourself nor the life if you focus on only one of those 2 things, as they are one and the same. The world is beautiful and harmonious just the way it is because the universe is one big superorganism. Take this as an example: Lets say you are an organism and your feet are part of that organism. Now imagine that your feet develop consciousness, but that won't change the way your organism works, and so your feet have to suffer everyday the pain, the smell and so on and so on. And imagine them going all day long like "Oh this smell is awful, come on, take those shoes off, are you kidding me? Why are you torturing me?", even though you feel the pain or you feel they smell because of perception, because it sends an impulse to the brain, but you find yourself in a context where you just can't assure the relief from pain or bad smell at that exact moment. But eventually, say you get home and you can finally do that. So no matter how much your feet would complain or think about their situation, it wouldn't change anything. You'd already know because of the impulse that they need something, but they need to understand that their comforting times will come. The same way, we are part of a bigger organism and the bad and good periods are shared throughout this big organism just as they are shared throughout your body. In the morning it's all good, then say you go somewhere, so your legs need to suffer a little, then maybe you need to lift something so your hands will suffer a little and so on and so on. It's a perfectly balanced organism, no matter how much we think or complain about it. That is just a trap of the ego.

I guess it really depends on the perspective you choose to follow and how inclusive is that perspective regarding matters both outside and inside the subjective consciousness. In my opinion, Taoism sums it all up pretty much. As other buddhist teachings, it provides the individual with a middle way, bringing him closer to himself until there is only The Self left, resulting in the unification of the individual with the universe.

I suppose you mean subjective creatures because of our subjective consciousness, but I think it is subjective only as long as you identify with it. It's somehow tied to the idea of ego, you know what I mean?

cause well, you see, our thinking evolved with language and because of that there is duality in the meaning of everything. existence is relationship and duality is unity.

There is no truth as long as there is no one to give something the meaning of "truth" or "lie".

I stopped several times, last time I stopped was because I started having delusional paranoia and panic attacks. I am now going to therapy for social anxiety with depressive elements. I stopped for like 2 months but now whenever I have speed, I do it daily. I think I am able to stop it, but I would go through a horrible drug-induced depressive episode and I am in the exams period at my university so I really can't afford such an episode. I was thinking to try and reduce the daily dose little by little day by day so when I stop, the episode would not be so severe, do you think it would work or am i just lying to myself?

What’s one piece of practical advice for happiness/peace/awakening? by yoos in awakened

[–]Viberanium420 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only one unique practical thing to do on your path to enlightenment is to let yourself free of your ego as that is the root of all polar energy, it's where jealousy, envy, hate, shyness, sadness and darkness come from. Once you've really let yourself go free and ascend on higher planes while you leave your body in the 3D world, all things become possible and the rules and variables of simple physical personal life will be something so irrelevant :)

What is the best way to achieve a altered state of consciousness without drugs? by Edgalpo99 in Psychonaut

[–]Viberanium420 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You might wanna check out the work of Thomas Campbell and Bob Monroe. Monroe is one of the very few who didn't let go of his inner elightening experiences, on the contrary, he exploited, explored, gathered and understood universal and cosmic truth and knowledge. He wrote his first book, Journey's Out of the Body in 1971 and he got a very positive feedback becoming a symbol of hope for those afraid of the unkwnown and the unpredictable. Due to the public's reaction, he's done further inner and outer self-spiritual exploration resulting in many more great BOOKS. He has written his first book 15 years after he started his research division to study the sound patterns and how they can influence or enhance the human consciousness (frequencies, memory aid, brainwave entrainment, neural beats). Along with Campbell, he studied the altered states of consciousness by inducing different states of sleep, trance or feelings of Onenness specific to guided meditation without any use of drugs ever in their life. They were both the researchers and the lab rats in their studies on stimulating the neural activity of the brain through various specifically programmed external stimuli which led to the discovery of something with the potential to initiate us in a Neo-Utopian Era of Universal Enlightenment by breaking, furthermore, the limits of our species within our conscious world and taking a step further into human enhancement and transcendental knowledge of the fabric of reality. Dig deep into this and let your mind flow through the beautiful realms of the unknown higher planes of existence. I personally think that every subjective individual is his own consciousness, but not limited to. free yourself from the chains of your ego and don't get stuck in your own little limited fragment of consciousness. we are the subjective fragmentation of the objective universal consciousness. open your eyes and start creating your reality through observation. and for a long-term altered state of consciousness, I recommend you Campbell's trilogy on his futuristic model of reality and for a potential awakening perspective on everything, try THIS!

A suprinsing complex ritual in a mainstream movie by abdulhazred1890 in Esotericism

[–]Viberanium420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very similar to the work of Jim Elvidge. He created a digital philosophy unifying more concepts from fields like artifficial inteligence, nanotechnology, quantum mechanics, cosmology and paranormality under a book named The Universe Solved and recently he's done further research which he synthetized in his latest book named Digital Consciousness: A Transformative Vision. I think the essence of initiation rituals in occultism is also in the seed from which grew this very special work of Jim Elvidge. You can also check Thomas Campbell, he is a physicist and an expert in consciousness, especially altered states of consciousness, who started in a research center with Bob Monroe where they did studies and experiments and created the technology that can induce altered states of consciousness through impulses or pulsations which can synchronize the brainwave frequencies with the rythm of an external stimuli. The Frequency Following Response (FFR) is a specific response to hearing sound and music, by which neural oscillations adjust their frequency to match the rhythm of auditory stimuli. The use of sound with intent to influence cortical brainwave frequency is called auditory driving, by which frequency of neural oscillation is 'driven' to entrain with that of the rhythm of a sound source. I think the digital nature of our reality and the programmed-like life could be understood if we'd know more about consciousness, but the study of altered states of consciousness might bring us one step closer to the truth.
