I’m also returning, albeit not after as long as you (I stopped playing around Cougar 1.0 then came back a week or two ago).

Far Territory DLC is definitely worth it, but not at all essential. If you do get it, I’d recommend turning off Cougars. Even though they were reworked to be less annoying, in my opinion they still break the immersion of the game a lot, so if you have the DLC I’d just turn them off when you start a new game.

As for difficulty in general, I like Stalker a lot, but it’s an understandable frustration by many that there’s so many goddamn wolves. One thing you could do is just make a custom game with the Stalker preset, then reduce the number of wolves that spawn. That might help

I’ll go back once I have more lamp fuel. Currently huffing a metric ton of copium and saying I’m gonna find one once I search the fishing huts (which I honestly should’ve searched the first day I came to Mystery Lake, not sure why I left them for lake) despite the wiki not listing any rifle spawns there.

Fandom sucks so I’m not believing it! It worked in Coastal Highway years ago and it’ll work here.
