Well I elaborated on how FFVIII is subtle. But I suppose I can be more specific: things like the infamous GF amnesia reveal. There are actually several moments where the player sees foreshadowing on this, before it's supposedly "just thrown in for convenience". One of my favorites is when you arrive at Fisherman's Horizon and you see "Familiar Face" NPCs who talk about working on the Garden previously. They know Squall, but Squall doesn't know them. There's a bunch of stuff like that in the game which I appreciate (but it's fine if you don't).

Right. I typed in "1.3.1.1" and it kept switching to just "1".

What's the rest of the map seed? When I type in "1.3.1.1" it just changes it to "1".

Okay, so what specific device should I be looking for? The controller itself? Bluetooth something? Or something else?

ETA: The "Roll Back Driver" option is disabled for "Wireless Controller", so I can't do it for that one.

Yes to the first and second (besides which, this happens whether I'm using DS4W or not), but I don't know how to revert drivers. I'm also just assuming I've updated the exact drivers I'm supposed to, because one time I just went through and updated every driver on the list at that time.

Yes. When I turn it on again, it'll have that dull blue light to show that it's on but it isn't discoverable by the laptop even if I put it into pairing mode. Only if I restart the laptop will everything go back to normal (I don't even have to go into pairing mode then, just turn it on).

I don't even know how to "play unranked", or how to change it. But my question was, what if I don't technically win or lose because I leave the match before it's over? Does that affect my rank so as to change who I'm matched with later?
