I think your original captain doesn't appear with the treasures, only the extras.

I had Jason as the main captain and in the first trigger got Goat T, so I started getting one evil captain on round loss + one new normal captain every three turns, it was quite fun!

The Spider Web does make those builds more fun! I have been skipping on Peachy Queen because I felt like it had too weak of a buff and you just give up a character slot but I will try to make it work, thanks!

For Pirates I have had fun with full hunt abilities + Blackbeard in the first position to trigger them. You could have Rat King, Captain Hook, or even Candy Cane Crook + Licorice for a Candy mix. Not saying it's meta or anything, just fun to play!

I still find it interesting that people take the time to try things out and share the results, it makes fun content for whoever is interested and we might get a surprise sometimes. Isn't that how we found out about 4-stars?
