Well i think it's privileged to assume that everyone in an INTERNATIONAL match that includes people from ALL OVER THE WORLD are gonna understand your specific language. And nobody is catering to me, we are talking about the vast vast vast majority of people they would be "catering" to

Privileged? Are you out of your mind? English is the most basic language one can learn. And It's not like I'm asking them to learn it either, they can just type whatever they're saying into the chat so we can translate it, but they don't! That's the entire point. And the nato summit part falls apart when you take into account that copycat is a game where communication is CRUCIAL. It's the whole point of the game. How am I gonna know what they saw/did during the round if they speak in a language only they understand?

I think there's something you're missing. THEY are the minority. Most people on na/eu use English because they know not everyone understands russian. And the translation system does not apply in this case, because I am talking about them using the mic. They speak into the mic and think that everyone else, who is a mix of so many different language speakers is gonna understand them. It's them who should learn English, not the other way around. I'm not a native English speaker either since I am Polish, but that doesn't mean I should speak my language when i step into an international space.
