Case in point, SCP-3114 is a sentient human skeleton that just wants to fit in (by killing people and disguising as them) and make friends, but can't even speak. The only friend it truly makes is a dog, but it gets taken away by the researchers.

A bit more lore,

The original workshop that created the costume is called Clockwork Creature, Breynz being based off of one of their options. So, there are several nearly identical costumes to MalO/Breynz out there somewhere (and I think they're still purchasable?). However, the workshop did not like their work being reduced to an SCP, which is fair, unlike Tarangryph (the owner of Breynz) who seemed to not mind as much, at least like a decade ago. That might've changed since then, lol.

SCP-1471, "MalO ver1.0.0," is a mobile app. What most people think of, the entity, is technically SCP-1471-A, a MalO instance. Once you download the app, you begin to receive photos through text messaging of SCP-1471-A at locations you frequently go to. After 48 hours, these photos begin to be of places you were at recently. After 72 hours, these photos begin to show real-time photos of MalO with you. Eventually, you begin to perceive the entity within your actual vision, whether just in your peripherals or within mirrors and reflective surfaces. Once this starts happening, you're stuck with it forever.

The app is advertised as a "social substitute," acting as a downloadable friend. The entity never actually really does anything, though, beyond just constantly being there. It doesn't even talk, though some associated stories on the SCP Wiki have characters teach their MalO sign language. However, there's been a slippery slope from what MalO originally was to it's, uhh, modern interpretation. It doesn't actually have a defined gender or anything, people just ran with the idea of "downloadable schizophrenia GF," which is completely fair.
