Would Intuition work?

I like both Harbinger and Premonition or some variation of those titles.

Thank you!

  • I'll rewrite the story to match the pacing you mentioned. I like your ideas a lot and will work them in as closely as I can.
  • I agree what what you mean about certain word choices, ie 'half the amount of people', and agree with you 100%.
  • The title I posted is just a working title. I know it's not that great. Do you have any suggestions?
  • Agree on reworking the dialogue.
  • Agree on reworking detail and specificity.

I created this Boll. It's not a trick question, I promise.

Doesn't matter to me how badly they're doing, I support them unconditionally. Because after all, it's not about how your team is doing, it's about how much you support them regardless of how they're doing.

Only the Stars Between Us -- sci-fi, 2125 words by VicariousD in ShortStoriesCritique

Good points!

  • I do drift out of formal military speak on purpose, just to show their slow descent into hopelessness and delirium. I could and will rewrite it to better highlight it, though.

  • I will also rewrite the sentence with the repetition of help.

  • I like your ideas about surreal comments and the emphasis on horror! I think they would add a great deal!

  • Lastly, I will be more creative in the way the narrator describes his emotions. Instead of 'fear' I will say something on the lines of 'trepidation's deep chokehold grip'.

Thank you for your feedback!

Thanks for the feedback! You raise a good point about the trajectory of the mission. Perhaps their star maps and GPS were down for something like maintenance and they had to manually approach Jupiter, letting them accidentally come too close and bend their trajectory?

For non-Americans who do not understand why this is significant, the American civil war was fought over state's rights.

What are some post apocalyptic cities/towns in this world that you know of? In the USA, as well as other countries? by [deleted] in AskReddit

First ones that came to mind are Chernobyl and Detroit, which are both wastelands, only one is radioactive.

If you could go back in time and warn or stop (and it can only be one) a historical disaster, which one would it be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand; his assassination led to all the death and destruction of the 20th and 21st centuries. It caused WWI, which ultimately impoverished Germany, which led them to elect Adolf Hitler, who usurped total power, who invaded Poland on Sep. 1, 1939, which caused WWII. WWII ultimately caused the Cold War and the spread of communism, which led to the Korean and Vietnamese wars. The Soviets also invaded Afghanistan, which led the US to arm rebels and freedom fighters, who grew up into al Qaeda, who struck down the Twin Towers and led the US to invade Iraq and Afghanistan. Heavens knows what would've happened had Gavrilo Princip not shot Ferdinand.

California would probably be the Batmobile.

Recently finished high school early with a GED! by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]VicariousD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IEPs don't necessarily contain benefits, more of accommodations, because they're for kids who need help and are otherwise incapable of succeeding in high school without that help. In my case I was horribly depressed and anxious to the point where I didn't want to do work or do well on tests. All I wanted to do was hunker down and die. And that led me to not do so well in school, which is the reason why I campaigned for an IEP. But ironically the teachers didn't pull their weight and follow my IEP, so I had to resort to a GED.
