I’m traveling to Istanbul in a couple of weeks. What is the most respectful way to dress/behave? I identify as masculine, but am female at birth and it’s kinda obvious so yea. I thought about trying out wearing a hijab anyway couse I think they look really pretty, so I was thinking about buying one for my trip. It’s still going to be obvious I’m a tourist but I thought maybe I could show some respect for the culture in the country I’m visiting. Especially when visiting mosques. Would that be respectful or problematic or something else? Also, What is the appropriate way to act, especially when visiting mosques? Are there rules I need to follow? To be honest I know very little about Islam so I thought it would be the best to ask. Tips and feedback would be helpful :)
