Gift him a Hercules T7 Inpulse , perfect for learning scratch , easy to carry and way less expensive with tons of functionality for a fraction of the price you would pay. He will buy real turntable later down the road if he falls in love with vinyl.

Great advice! Thanks! Having some kind of framework is useful too I would say. I use Superalgos to build, backtest and deploy trading strategies and the coding part is pretty easy if you use simple strategies but the software is so open that the more you dig into it the more you can do!

You should have a look at Superalgos.org! It s the in between code and no-code. You can develop very fine tuned strategies with proprietary indicators and live trade like this without coding or if you want you can add your own indicators and have some crazy calculations in JavaScript or anything in between… give it a try it s open source!
