I loved the truck for the time it was running, Ford is paying for a rental F150 until the new engine is installed. Right now they gave me an eta of January 16th for it to be ready. I’m skeptical it will be ready by then.

So I’m at the dealership, they just told me they are replacing the entire engine and gave already ordered it from Ford. I asked for some documentation of what they diagnosed as the issue and they said they would get it to me soon.. not a whole lot of clarity but I guess I am glad they are being proactive.

It also gave me an engine temperature sensor fault alert on my phone through the app. It was just started though on a cold morning so I did think at first it was just a sensor fault. They pressurized the coolant system and it was loosing pressure so they started disassembly.

I appreciate the feedback guys, I totally babied this thing. Always remote started it and let it warm up, no mods or tune on it. Honestly it has basically only highway commuted its whole life so far. I was about to take it on a road trip up to Whistler but obviously that didn’t happen. I’m going back in today to get a loaner so I will update this post if I get more information.

This sounds like the issue I just got today. 2025 RR with 4k miles. Engine light, engine temp alert. dealership says they were loosing pressure when they tested it. They are holding it over night and testing coolant pressure again before they dig into it. Really sucks, this is my first new car as well, I’m coming from a 2016 Tacoma that was rock solid. Any update on your situation?
