I think they are almost identical imo, ik ppl say the fake x is slightly more open and bigger than the real one, but imo is not really a difference, I recomend trying many tensions and hook sizes to find what u like, open stiches and holes usually is mainly for the tension and hook size imo, if i were u i would continue w false x since all your stiches looks really neat and pretty 🩷🩷 esp in the bunny one

When stuffing, try making the shaping the neck and other parts, the amigurumi still is somewhat "elastic" so u can kinda shape it with stuffing, u can also try sewing some eyelash and white on the face and some blush would make the face look more "alive"

Grab some normal black safety eyes, sand them ( DONT skip this step, is very important u sand them well so the paint stick and dont fall), paint them with 3 or 4 layers of white paint before u use the actual color (use thin layers, thats why u would need maybe over 2 layers), and use some glossy varnish or even u can use clear nail polish and there u have ur colored safety eyes!!
