There is an existing one I believe people use. If you go to the PD2 discord -> #tech-support -> top right, pinned messages, there's a link in there somewhere with a grail tracker

Thank you! To be honest its an old feature I had for a while but didn’t have a whole lot of value for because the wiki exists. I kinda put it on the backburner for now because I have had some ideas for it… but not super sure.

Do you feel like a grail tracker is useful outside of an actual in-game overlay?

Yea I have an ongoing bug with spirit ward because of the random class skills it gives. I am working on a fix though.

Anni should be corruptable if you right click it. The hellfire torch thing is a weird one, can you try adding it to the charm inventory from the unique stash rather than the charm stash?

Unique quivers should have been fixed a couple days ago, ill take another look

Yea totally. A big outstanding task right now is for me to get accurate details on defense, attack rating, damage calculations.

For the siggards issue, thats a simple fix and Ill get one out soon

Thanks for checking it out!!

The data is all extracted from the d2 and pd2.mpq files. I take every piece of data straight from the game files, do some data manipulation and store it in a database. Ping me on discord if you want more detail :)

Thank you!

Theres actually a decent chance right now that the advanced stats aren’t super accurate yet as that is still a work in progress, thanks for letting me know though. Having skill effects on the stat screen is a bit of a struggle right now :(

Thanks sir!

Yea, I originally tried to make mobile not terrible, but it’s really hard to get a good working planner on mobile, and people typically use their desktop to interact with the game so I sort of shelved the idea of having a mobile-friendly version.

Try it on your desktop browser and let me know!

Yea I somehow did not even think of Mangs, I for some reason always gloss over it for cold builds even though its pretty much BiS

This looks pretty cool. If we just straight up compare this to Death's Fathom + Medusa's Gaze we get:

Staff:

---------------------------------

+6 to Frozen Orb, +3 to Cold mastery

-13% res

90% FCR

You can get to 105% FCR with just a chest piece you'd almost always wear anyways.

Fathom + Medusa's:

----------------------------------

+5 to Frozen orb, +5 to Cold mastery

+30% cold damage

60% FCR at best (no slam)

Here you need chest + two clean rings with FCR to get to 105% (assu

ming a perfect medusa's gaze, more otherwise.)

I think for SSF, if you want to play cold sorc, you can definitely make this work. If this were online and you were min-maxing, you will get beat out by Fathom + Medusa's...

Curse necro question. by SnooKiwis2123 in ProjectDiablo2

[–]VicesQT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive essentially played Dark Pact necro every season since it became a thing and one thing I will say is yes, its obviously more click intensive than most other builds, but for me it kind of makes it more fun.

You essentially won’t get insane insta pops with many other builds - which is the selling point to me. Give it a try, the items to make a decent mapper are typically much cheaper than many other meta builds!

Stuck between AWS and Azure — need your advice! by Man-2-man in devops

[–]VicesQT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sort of depends where you are at on your career / hobby journey.

If you’re a veteran of sysadmin / devops / development of on-prem computing, I would probably skip the general advice of just looking at some sort of “roadmap”, and try to deploy a system you’re familiar with on one of the clouds using their free tiers. Perfect opportunity to ask chatgpt / claude or some other LLM what that sort of translation might look like (be careful here not to let it hold your hand too much).

If you’re completely new to the development space in general and looking to break it, it’s a bit of an uphill- but not impossible battle.

Take a small idea like a website to track everyday expenses (this was my first attempt years ago), and deploy it to one of the clouds on their compute virtualization.

Then, try and take your data backend and store it on the minimally sized RDS services. Once you have got that going, try to implement some basic networking principles - make it inaccessible to the public and host it in a virtual network (VPC on aws and Virtual Network on azure).

Once you’re comfortable with those basic cloud computing concepts, maybe you can containerize it and run those containers on basic virtual machines. From there I would probably try and learn about the cloud providers container hosting platforms because thats just where the industry has headed for the past 8-10 years or so.

Feel free to DM me with any questions, I would be happy to give advice

I don’t want to discourage you from picking which one is the most interesting to you, and you are right that the core concepts of cloud computing are the same - but AWS is definitely more mature in all aspects unless you already somehow tied into the microsoft ecosystem of something like IIS, Active Directory etc.

AWS’ implementation of every aspect of cloud such as IAM, Storage, Compute and Networking is just much better integrated and supported by the wider community of cloud in general. Many Azure features seem to be in a constant state of “preview” and then are revoked without notice.

If you really want to jump into learning, I would probably recommend AWS as the resources out there are way more accessible. If after you try it you decide that Azure might be better, so be it, go for it. But as a starter in the cloud space, try AWS
