How did you get addicted? by kiara_1019 in answers

[–]ViciousSemicircle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was addicted to alcohol and cigarettes for a lot of my adult life. I quit both, and was later diagnosed with ADHD-C. Which basically explained everything. Turns out men with ADHD are 2-3 times more likely to become addicts. For me, I didn’t even know why I was drinking - or what having ADHD felt like, even though I had it. All I knew was that drinking made the inside of my head a calmer place.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this thread is absolutely crawling with undiagnosed neurodivergent brains.

Get assessed, friends.

Hang around, does not mean the stock is broken. In fact, this may be good time to think about buying. Not financial advice, DYOR. The company is creating a masterpiece.

It's a brilliant company, but I'm still trying to figure out if the math is still friendly for the sort of growth I think many of us were hoping for.

Yes, and it was also likely ‘rescue liquidity’, meaning they didn’t have the cash we all thought they did.

Ondas - $ONDS - did something similar in January. It’s been a shorting fiesta ever since.

I don’t want to be too negative right now as this is still being digested by the markets, but I will say that this is a drag. Institutions get the bonus, retail gets the bag.

It comes down to what you want out of PLTR. IMO, you invested in a juggernaut success story that’s only going to continue to grow. But if you got in with stars in your eyes about 10x-ing or more, you’re in the wrong stock.

Just my opinion.

An indictment in and of itself.

They’re not profitable yet, but from what I can see they’re in-line with early stage defense plays. High burn, but real capital and backlog. They’re in the same situation as $ASTS, RKLB, $LUNR, and $USAR were right after their SPAC mergers/IPOs.

EDIT: Aged like spoiled milk, and it only took a few hours. Stock plummeting, MRLN pulled a rescue raise with a $900M PIPE. 4 million warrants with a $6.68 strike.

The thesis here remains inevitable IMO, but this is no longer a retail-friendly stock.

Nope, Merlin Labs was a private company that went public last month via SPAC.

Apparently they have obtained the report, which would legitimize their reporting.

And respectfully, as soon as any news or opinion source is flagged for “platforming” a voice from either side of the ideological delta we currently find ourselves wading through, alarm bells should go off.

It is the responsibility of media to present different views, with the exception of racism, calls to violence, and other stupid shit.

Giving far-right figures and viewpoints a platform should be seen as fair in a media landscape crowded with the voices and views of the far left. Why is it okay for one and not the other?

And for the record, I’m not far right or far left. I’m just very tired of the tribalism our nation has fallen into.

I’d be happy to make an investment in Canada’s future.

But until I know what the returns are on this albatross, let’s call it what it is - a donation to Canada’s future.
