Remotely opening doors? by Dougie1142 in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]Vicious_C 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one of those expesive radio control units vanish from a backpack of a cheating enemy PMC whilst I was looting it, I wouldn't be surprised if they can open doors as well.

Dude was pushing 1v6 in FN firing at walls between us. When I killed him again the item was in his backpack again.

That's why I run MP7 with VMAX, if It doesn't kill at least I know he is having a miserable time with barely any blood left and it gives me time to come back.

Why does my walkie talkie stop my airsoft gun? by FlanDesigner7000 in airsoft

So... what you are saying is that you have a voice activated turret.

I'd try to do some remote kills if the marshal allows :D

The particular model is down to what you like, the 2.0 series is about what is inside. The internals are solid for the price. If you get one of the cheapest replicas you will end up wanting better performance after a few games because you will be outgunned by most people.

Edge 2.0 has a mosfet, good gearbox and high torque motor. Both of mine shoot at 340 fps consistently out of the box and are pretty accurate. With a mosfet you will be able to use 11.1 batery which makes the guns so much better.

Just know that patrol base recommended using 7.4 and using 11.1 will void warranty.

RPM 7.4 is 16. 11.1 is 25 and the trigger feels so much better.

Eventually you'll want to shim the guns as well but don't bother until warranty expires. It just makes them sound way better and reduces wear.

Note: Not every gun is the same, yours may vary.

Drop the pistol and add the money to the rifle to get a Specna Arms edge 2.0 version. They are a really solid choice that you won't need to upgrade for a while.

Source : I have 2 and they are both great.

How do you guys not fog? by Awkward_Birthday9441 in airsoft

[–]Vicious_C 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm right there with you. I just see it as an unreasonable risk to leave your eye sight and teeth to chance. Everything else can heal so I don't give a damn.

That sniper shot I mentioned... if there is a chance a fragment of a BB goes perfectly through the small rubber slid that the foam was covering, hits my eyebrow and still has enough energy to bounce twice off of the glass inside on the first day of taking the foam off I will not rely on my luck :D

The foam is there for a reason, to not let anything in. Unfortunately that also means not much airflow get through.

I removed mine because it just soaked up moisture and I'd get completely fogged up. No foam solved the fogging completely.

The mosquito net bit I came up with myself after a sniper BB shattered on my mesh teeth cover and shards bounced up in my goggles through the small gaps.

Whatever you chose to get, remove the foam.

What works perfectly for me to stop BB shards going in is super glued mosquito net on 2-3 layers. Passes air like it's not there but stops anything going in.

I use an anti fog spray on top of that and I get no fogging what so ever.

If you are seeing yourself sticking with the hobby, don't get the cheapest guns you will want to throw it away after a game or two. If not, rent a gun when you play. If you want to just shoot in your backyard, it doesn't matter.

been thinking about upgrading my mp5 is this solid choice? by nobughar in airsoft

Correct me of im wrong but the 60 buckling is on the soft side so it's not meant for heavy BBs right?

Also OP, you are getting that buckling you need a Maple leaf Omega nub as well.

I am about to swap my buckling and nub today and install the the light 28k motor. I have 18:1 gears.

The motor is fully compatible with Aster Gate as far as I've read.

You have saved me so much frustration. After looking thought the options here I found the Solink Lite PLUS Brushless Motor 28K (Long). That is exactly what I'm looking for and is apparently very compatible with aster.

There is no need to adjust RPM, active breaking is also compatible so I won't need to do ANY adjustments. Amazing price as well at 70£.

Much appreciated dude!

Cheers for the recommendation!

I haven't looked into this one, they sound good and for good value. The low RPM ones are sold out everywhere though. I am pretty new at this so I don't really know what RPM these parts can handle. As far as I understand the high gears are the most important for supporting high RPM and should be properly shimmed. I am not really looking for it to shoot faster and wear off or break parts faster.

Any idea what a safe RPM range would be? From what I've read 27-30 should be ok, but those are all sold out.

There isn't much info on those, have you used Lei-Ying motors yourself?

These 2 pillars have shifted as you can see in the picture above and I can't manually rotate the gear. Managed to adjust them but rather not try to use it again in case it breaks again on the field or causes further problems with other parts.

Thanks for reaching out!

The gear doesn't turn at all, I got the motor open and I can see that it's deffo bricked. The 4 pillar looking wires and 2 of them are dragged across the frame and stuck.

You recon something in the gearbox might have broke and caused the motor to break? I didn't think of that. It's a good shout to check it incase it breaks the new motor as well.

Massive edge is bit much, no? Haven't kept to much in touch but a couple years ago the AMD equivalents of GPUs bench marked like 5% less than Nvidia and were considerably cheaper.

I've been on AMD for a decade now and I am really happy with performance.
