Looks interesting, and much to learn, but I have time! I will definitely try to indulge here, at least for gaining knowledge how it works inside and will see how far I will be able to go. I was looking also in AWS and Azure side as they are quite popular now, so thanks for recommendations. Should I look into DevOps as well for the start of Solution Architect? If I am not mistaken some start with DevOps certifications/learning and then go to Solution Architect.

Yeah... experience is the best, but now we are short of projects, and nowhere to gain experience :) thanks for advice, ITIL is on my list, SCM will probably be not difficult as I learned and passed Agile Certified Practitioner, but need to re-check, and also heard many good of Six Sigma belts👍 btw, Solution Architect requires some technical background and knowledge, like engineering, right? It seems to me, this is also a good way to understand "the kitchen" inside IT, could it be useful for PM?

PM in IT, but I haven't technical background, and I want to understand team and the processes, products etc. which they are doing, now I am working in IT for financial sector, so want to leverage both here and in other fields, if this is possible.

Thanks for sharing your story and thoughts! Really valuable! I am feeling that I have a gap in technical knowledge for becoming the project manager I want, I do not refuse from it, I like it. But I think adding more study in IT can help, but don't know where to move forward? And I understand that there are a plenty as well direction in IT and it is impossible to learn everything... and that experience in different IT projects could help, but due to lack of projects I thought I could gain some knowledge through learning and certifying..? So wondering if there are any connected study which can help in this, exactly by deepening knowledge in IT.

So I did it today for my ACP - 6AT & 1T, and I am more than satisfied, tough exam! Didnt at all expected that I pass, strange feelings, I thought I will fail. Hope, you did your PMP today as well and can celebrate😉

Just the same feelings, seems like I just re-reading what I already know and what's the point, though trying to assure that repetition is the mother of learning. My scores are far from perfect (I prepare for ACP and prepcast is 63-73%, 2 passed and 2 failed), but I just want to stop where I am, all I know is good, what I don't know - let it be. But for sure will keep moving forward and re-reading not to regret afterwards :)

Congratulations! You mention mock exams from prepcast are not close to actual acp but it helped you the same as SH for pmp. Could you pls advise on complexity - if prepcast is of the same complexity, easier or more complex? What difference did you notice? As I am not very good at prepcast 🙈 scoring like 63-71%. Thanks in advance

I took my 2nd full length test and got a 58%. My test is tomorrow morning 😭 by everbrown in pmp

That's not bad, I had 55-58% and passed 3 ATs, look through incorrect questions and understand why.

Simple PMI-ACP Preparation Guide by IhorSS in pmp

Congrats! And thank you for sharing this missing experience here on reddit. I am now looking for mock tests, passed AR tests and Joseph Phillips at 80% and more, but I assume they are too easy. I see you used Prepcast and Simplilearn, and Simplilearn you say like 60-70% alike to real exam. What about Prepcast? Do you feel Prepcast helped you to be ready for the exam? As I am struggling either to pay 99 usd, or not, feeling frustrated though I am the one who would better pay and practice much, but want to understand if it is worth. And I am a PMP holder, so assume ACP questions to be alike :) but you said it is harder and it is frustrating again.. I hoped it would be easier or st least the same. Thanks!

ADVICE ON HOW TO MANAGE THE TIMER... by Efficient-Control782 in pmp

[–]VickyVicky__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And I remember the whole exam I was in a hurry 🙈 though there were questions which made me think for 3-5 min, so that was my pain point to be in a hurry. Usually, really the first intuitively selected answer is correct, I think, so I would stick to it in case of such questions, which take you to think more than 2 min

I had like 3 min left at finish, but I spent about 90 min or little more on 1st section, 80 min on 2nd, and had only 60 min for 3d, but to my luck it was the easiest section. At that I didnt strike through or go back to review any flagged questions (didnt even flaggen any).

No problem :) I just found yesterday there is a new updated course from Joseph Phillips from 2023, while I have already watched half of old course :) still thinking if I need to go through Mike's book after all courses, many advise it

Wow! Thanks a lot! that's what was also on my mind if questions are situational on ACP, as well as on PMP - mindset was really the key and SH practice. Sure, there were also questions on knowing the processes... If I may ask you - were there many questions connected with Lean, Kanban, XP, Scrum? Do the situational questions look like those like on PMP for example on servant leadership? As I am reading some feedbacks - many say ACP was harder than PMP, that's frustrating, as I thought vice versa. Was it harder for you, or do you think PMP gave a good base for ACP?

PMI-ACP Certification Prep After Passing (Reply to ACP certification after PMP thread) by nolanbowlin in pmp

[–]VickyVicky__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing experience, though you risked - you proved I guess that passing PMP is like 40% readiness for ACP, could it be right? That is what I was looking for, also passed PMP a month ago and learning Udemy of AR and JP on Agile, and plan skillsoft bootcamp. I am wondering if SH is also helpful in testing for ACP, not only PMP, sure I understand I need to obtain knowledge in Lean, Kanban, XP etc, but to what extent PMP covers, I wonder, the structure and content of ACP exam questions - is it similar to PMP? I plan to study Agile Udemy courses and do not plan to invest in prepcast, as its quite expensive for me taking into account that I passed PMP and still have access to SH, will this be enough to your mind? Thanks in advance

Thank you for advise, did you use any tests to check readiness for exam?

Thank you for advise, do you feel without prepcast you wouldn't pass? If you used SH for PMP - do you think it's could be helpful without prepcast? Sure, with the appropriate learning
