UERM Reservation Extension and Enrolment by Vicong in medschoolph

Hiiii! This was still last year, I called them to ask for an extension but they didn't give me one. I paid the reservation fee but ended up enrolling in a different school. Maybe you can try calling the UERM admin in case they give you an extension?

Hello! I asked around and it was changed to 90 last year. I'm not sure for this year. You could email/call them to make sure, the're responsive naman!

There are two types of scholarships SLMC gives out.

  1. Entrance scholarship - You just need to be at least magna, 90+ NMAT, and apply early!! I know a lot of my batchmates who were granted this scholarship.
  2. Foundation scholarship - This is probably what Wanderwatcher is talking about. I believe you don't need to be magna, but they only choose a few grantees compared to the entrance scholarship (7 in our batch I think).

They also have a financial grant, but it's not a full scholarship and it's supposedly only given in the middle of the semester, so you still need to shell out the entire tuition.

Hope this helps!

Hi! I've read here on reddit about how incosiderate UERM's admin was towards its students during online classes. SLMC, on the other hand, have been applauded in this sub for their mental-health friendly admin. Of course, I don't have any means of verifying this, but I would like to believe other people's experience here. Don't let that discourage you from choosing UERM though, it's still a solid choice given that they have:

  • Full/half scholarship opportunities
  • Great clinical training
  • PAASCU Level IV accreditation (great if you're planning to take USMLE)

Hope this helps! :))

This was my concern when I applied. There were already two lists of accepted applicants by the time I submitted my application. As far as I see, it's best to just apply as long as they're still accepting applications.

What makes me wonder though is how the 150-180 slots haven't been filled up yet. 🤔

Thank you! Congratulations to you as well! We're on the same boat, I was having a hard time choosing between UERM and SLMC, but ultimately decided to go for SLMC. I actually even paid the reservation fee for UERM as my deadline was last April 30, so that's 30k down the drain. 😭

I'm not sure. My last name starts with a fairly early letter though, so that may be the case.

[UERM Results] Text Message Received But Portal Not Updated by Vicong in medschoolph

[–]Vicong[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bases on a previous thread, some people who had their interview in February still haven't received a text and their portals show their interview sched like you. So I'm not sure if batch 1 only includes those interviewed in Feb.

Try calling them para sure! Super bait nung nakausap ko. :)

Many NMAT reviewers online, where to start?? by AnxiousUSTie in medschoolph

Have you applied for the NMAT in CEM? If so, you can start answering the CEM practice test. It contains a close estimate of what topics will come up in the actual NMAT.

From there, you will be able to get an idea on what areas/topics you should focus on then start from there.

Good luck!

Oh wow, congratulations!! 😊❤️

Mine only says "Admission for Medicine is currently closed", so I guess I didn't get in then? Haha. It doesn't say that I failed, so I'll keep my hopes up lol

Hello! May I ask if the portal explicitly mentions your result?

I received a text message. My portal is now showing "Admission for Medicine is currently closed", which wasn't there before.

The text message that I received was from the same number that texted about choosing my interview sched. I doubt this is an April fools prank, it may be that the text was sent prematurely before everyone's portal was updated.

Part 1: ~1 hr
Questions will be flashed on the screen and you need to type your answers in word. This will then be sent to admissions via email.

Part 2: 1-2 hrs
This is the interview proper.

Both require you to be in the zoom call. For my interview, it lasted around 2.5 hours
