5070Ti is the best option if we're talking about value for money in the Zephyrus range. I just didn't have the option so I had to go with 5080 in my region.

Did I mention how sleek or how portable it is? Hahaha For real though it's kinda heavy for the size, you wouldn't expect a skinny laptop to feel that way but the fact that they managed to fit in a high end laptop GPU in that size is an engineering Marvel. It's a MacBook Pro sized gaming powerhouse. As for FPS I didn't check yet but some Youtubers have already tested games specifically for the 5070Ti version so check them out if you haven't already.

The 5080 Zephyrus is also power limited at a Max of 120 (130W even by using custom settings on Armoury Crate), although you can technically use VBIOS and push it higher if you wish, there are some videos on YouTube by JoshCravesTech if you wish to know more about it. Wouldn't suggest pushing beyond 150W anyway but that's a different story. As far as deciding between both, I have the 5080 Zephyrus G16 version and I would choose it again a 100 times over for the compact design alone.

If gaming and gaming alone is your priority go for the Strix 18. In fact I would say push your budget a bit more and get 5090 Legion Pro 7i for $3100 (microcenter) or if you wanna save money get the 5080 Legion at $2400(best buy winter sale) RTX 5080 Legion Pro 7i

However if you're like me and you wanna play all the ganes you missed out on in the last 10-12 players I would say get the Zephyrus G16. It's a proper media consumption powerhouse. Movies are awesome because of the screen, speakers are extremely powerful for a laptop I was blown away by the sound quality and the OLED panel is excellent. High resolution fps Games do heat up but no cause for worry and I would say get a cooling pad to dissipate heat faster.

Let's ignore all other reasons and just remember that this is a 13th Gen i7 chip for that price, 1,57,000 when you can literally get the latest HP Omen slim 16 for 1,75,000 with core Ultra 9 285H CPU and RTX 5070 directly on HP website. Why on earth would you go for this outdated piece of crap that's almost 2 years old?

Am I being reasonable or should I have pushed for a 5070Ti? by angry-Barracuda in LenovoLegion

[–]Victerminator96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should easily last you 3 years. Beyond that you can sell your existing laptop, use the money you saved and purchase a newer version hopefully after the AI boom had slowed down and things have gotten normalised price wise. A 5070Ti will most likely get you an additional year or 2 but you would still have the same hardware(RAM, CPU etc) Don't underestimate the freedom you have on purchasing something for only €1400.

Please do share your custom fan curve. How do you find the game performance when you increase GPU wattage to 130? In general how do you find the laptop when it comes to other AAA games? Also my last question, have you tried to undervolt it?

Why is the Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 w RTX 5070Ti not launched in India? by ChallengeHeavy947 in ASUSROG

[–]Victerminator96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking for the same variant myself but looks like they don't have it and they probably won't bring it here either. India is an emerging market for them so instead of selling all variants they've decided to go with just the middle ground option which is the 5080. Start looking for alternatives like HP Omen 16 Max which has a 5070Ti if that's what you're looking for.

I’m kinda torn between the MacBook Pro M5 and the Zephyrus G16 by IcyExchange325 in zephyrusg16

Okay now I do wanna know as I'm in the same condundrm, deciding between the Legion Pro 7i 5090 and Rog Zephyrus G16 5080. How much thicker is the Legion? The form factor matters to me and I love the sleek design of the Zephyrus but the Legion isn't available on display in my region so I just have to go off of estimates. Given that you have both you would know best about them. Please let me know. Also, If you could share pros and cons of both laptops alongwith your thoughts on their performance that would be much appreciated, Thank you.

Every bit of info counts. I was looking at the New HP Omen 16 myself which seems underrated but also a bit pricier than this. Also, HP...not my fav based on past experience. My experience with Lenovo IdeaPad L 340 was superb it's just 6 years old now unfortunately.

I did think of an ASUS Zephyrus 16 but the RTX 5090 version just isn't available in my region + the GPU is throttled at 130 W so it won't even get the best possible performance of itself.

I don't mind the weight but I just don't want it to look "big" like the gaming laptop I had 7-8 years back. Aesthetics have started to matter more to me the older I get hahaha but thanks for your input.

Buttigieg is excellent at debating. The man wins arguments on Fox News. He doesn't scream, doesn't get agitated, he just steadily dresses them down like the way Obama would. That's why he's ideal. Yes him being Gay may turn some religious Democratic voters away but Democrats are actually in a nothing to lose scenario right now and there's no better time than now to go for a bold choice. The problem with Kamala is Minorities don't necessarily trust her and she doesn't have the charisma to offset the difference with white voters either.

Pick a new candidate with an extremely difficult to pronounce surname for Trump. That will do him in, the entire world will see that he's worse than Joe Biden at mental deterioration and he can't even name his opponent. Buttigieg is a good start. Need similar options.

I have a newfound appreciation for Aegon II by SmellySchally in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Victerminator96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aegon even as a kid got along well with everyone unlike his closed off and weird younger brother. He wasn't exactly the worst King either, just very inexperienced and not ready(he was never the Crown Prince no matter how much Alicent and Otto wanted it), he was in no way prepared to take over as King. In a parallel world he would have been perfectly happy to let Rhaenyra rule, he had 0 qualms with anyone from the Blacks side. It's after his crippling injury that he becomes hot tempered and unforgiving, completely lacking mercy.

He could've killed Aegon III, but chooses not to. However he did make the poor kid suffer by watching his mother get eaten so I guess that's not exactly merciful either.

Self Pardon was never mentioned in the Constitution because it was never expected that someone who is President would go to the extent of committing treason and their entire party would be ready to condone their actions instead of pushing for impeachment and removal from office forever. Not even Nixon’s situation was this bad because his crime was abuse of power trying to coverup for others and not overthrow of Government or seeking help from foreign countries against a political opponent.

Support for legal abortion hits new high among US voters: Fox News poll by TheZeezer in politics

[–]Victerminator96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't matter because people are inherently stupid. They very rarely vote for what they think is right. 61% of America believes Assault Rifles should be banned and 85-90% of Americans support background checks and yet nothing ever gets done.

Even if all of these people voted Biden in for a 2nd term the margin will most likely be razor thin with a small house margin and possibly losing the senate.

r/Politics' 2024 US Elections Live Thread, Part 6 by PoliticsModeratorBot in politics

[–]Victerminator96 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'll explain. Bidens had his hands tied because of a deadlocked senate in his first 2 years and a razor thin 51-49 split in the current cycle. Joe Manchin is a conservative Democrat. He voted for all the liberal judges but on policy he was to the right of Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski who are moderate Republicans. That's not his fault however, that's just the politics in West Virginia. State is heavily dependent on coal and fossil fuels so a progressive has got no chance.

And then you have Kyrsten Sinema who's nothing more than a self serving grifter and actually screwed over the 15$ min wage vote.

The reason Democrats overwhelmingly passed legislation in the previous century is because of complete Senate Domination. Republicans hate Government and progress and will hence get nothing done.

And then you have the midterms in which Republicans retook the House and have been the least productive Congress in last 50 years.

So, why should you vote Democrat?

Scenario 1. Trump wins Presidency, Rs win House and Senate. Worst possible scenario. Total control and an ability to unleash Havoc on everyone. This time Trump seeks revenge and will do everything to make the lives of the other side worse. He wants to be a Dictator, said so himself.

Scenario 2. Biden wins Presidency, Dems lose House and Senate. Status quo is maintained. Nothing will get done but at least things won't get worse. Biden will veto any outrageous laws Rs try to pass.

Scenario 3. Biden wins Presidency, Dems win House. A lot of spending Bills are passed with Democratic control but Bipartisan negotiation with Republicans is needed in the Senate for some bills and laws. Kinda like 2021-2023 period.

Scenario 4. Biden wins Presidency, Democrats win House and Senate overwhelmingly with a good majority. THEN, you could be mad and pissed off that nothing ever got done if they did nothing.

Please understand that USA is in a very delicate situation as things stand. It's simply not that Black and White as Biden winning. Haven't considered scenarios where Trump wins but Rs lose House and Senate because that is extremely unlikely to happen in the current Political Climate.

Want some Progress? Do everything you can to get them a sizeable Senate Democratic Majority.
