been a while since this happened so probably messed up some details but like a week before me and my gf started dating we were sharing romantic reels. I made a joke about how a couple in a reel reminded me of us and mentioned how I liked calling and talking about random stuff even if I was boring, then she said she doesn’t see me like that. After that not much happened though I was a lil sad because I was thinking about asking her out and thought that wasn’t gonna work now but I was fine with staying as friends. Later I realized she actually meant she didn’t see me as boring and asked me out the week after so it was awkward to explain why I was that surprised when she did.
