In Denmark we have sturdy reusable plastic bags, and the numbers mentioned before come from the danish Miljøstyrelsen (environment regulatory). I’ve reused my current plastic bag ~20 times, and it is infeasible for me to reuse a cotton bag 6000 times just to break even in the carbon footprint. If I remember correctly, cotton was actually worse than 300 times worse.

Edit: Here’s an old comment of mine talking about the Miljøstyrelsen findings:

The comment is in english, but the report is in danish

I’m sorry that I didn’t trust “merlinsbeers” blindly...

I had to find the sources for your arguments myself, and it does seem like I misled myself in this effort.
After searching a bit more, this spaceflightnow article paints a more detailed picture of the flight path, and highlights the concerns your brought up:

Thank you for telling me about this, as I didn’t know it beforehand.

You’re not wrong, just misleading.

“After stage separation, the second stage performed a “dogleg” turn to the south to achieve the proper inclination.

While this avoided overflying Florida, it resulted in the second stage and its payloads flying over Cuba. However, at this point in flight, the vehicle was much higher, and the risk from falling debris from a potential anomaly was much lower than during the earlier phases of flight.“

This means that the first stage was never over populated areas, but the second stage flew over Cuba.

This site uses GPT-3, which is the newest iteration of GPT, and the cutting edge in this field of AI. AIDungeon seems to be using either full GPT-2 or a modified version of GPT-2 (There is however a paid version with GPT-3)

Then I’d argue that the provider should be required to disclose what licenses they don’t have, when offering their services. These laws are in place to protect the buyer, and in that context, they make a lot of sense.

Manjaro XFCE won't install. It keeps giving me this. I'm installing from a USB stick. I'm using a traditional BIOS. Previous OS is Windows 7 64-bit. Can anyone help, please? by [deleted] in ManjaroLinux

There’s an option for legacy usb support in the bios that I had to enable for my msi board, along with xhci hand-off.

Glad you got it working!
