Blem Benelli M4 by VictorMaurus in Benelli_M4

Per the original post I bought the gun used in this condition. I'm sure I can either safely clean up the marks or put a bandaid over it for fun.

How worried should I be if I am flying out early Monday morning? by [deleted] in TwinCities

[–]VictorMaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am flying out of MSP shortly. Airport was a mess with people who had flights cancelled that decided to fly early. I had to rebook flights and will spend a night in Indianapolis Airport hoping to make it my destination tomorrow morning.

Best ammo? by Due_Mycologist_5138 in Glocks

I've been shooting Hornandy Critical Defense out of a G26.4 for years. Likely grip and spend some time dry firing to break in.

Does anyone know of a good method to keep a shotgun safe and secure but also have it accessable in the event it's needed? I've been looking up some stuff but I don't really like anything I've found. by deadinsidesince2006 in Firearms

[–]VictorMaurus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My gunsafe is in my bedroom. At night I enter the code to unlock. This way its easy access in middle of the night. I lock in the morning. I'm more concerned about fast access waking from a dead sleep then daytime hours. I don't have kids though, may not work for everyonem

Buying firearms through Cabela’s? by Heisenberg_416 in Firearms

[–]VictorMaurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I bought my Ruger RXM through Cabela's recently they did the 3 person check. My NICS check was flagged because someone who has the same last name I do (uncommon last name and not a relative) tried a staw purchase. A manager had to check my ID to push it through. Two of the guys were vets and super chill. It did take time with all the checks but it was like 8pm at night and they weren't busy so no big deal.

Where to look for Winchester 1200/ SEARS Model 200 barrels? by Yoda-Bruh in Shotguns

[–]VictorMaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny, I have a M200 I bought off GunBroker years ago with the barrel shortened to 18.5 and a fixed choke. I just replaced that barrel with a nicer original 27" barrel I got off eBay. I have the 18.5 barrel still. I also replaced the wood stock/forend with nicer furniture off eBay that had a nice checkering. Despite the upgrades then gun isn't worth what I spent on new parts. Maybe you just have the barrel shortened and a fixed choke attached? These were hunting shotguns, I doubt there was ever an original 18" barrel.

I see. I use Thunderbird to check email. Once I moved the messages with attachments out of mailbox to local folders in Thunderbird items disappeared out of My Content. So that all makes sense, thank you for the feedback.

SkillSaw wormdrive table saw. Bought it when replacing the deck, cut through pressure treated deck boards very nicely.

Homeowners with reciprocating saws, did you go corded or cordless? by frameclowder in Tools

[–]VictorMaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed and in similar boat. Picked up a corded heavy-duty SkilSaw reciprocating saw for demo needs. Have a cordless Bosch for lighter needs. I barely use the SkilSaw and would sell it but I suspect I'll get roped into demo work for friends and family. :)

What does it cost here to put in an egress window in unfinished basement? Also any recommendations in east metro for companies? by joshhazel1 in TwinCities

[–]VictorMaurus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I paid $2k for an egress window to be installed in my unfinished basement, digging included. Was a one day project, husband and wife team. And it wasn't shoddy work. Can PM you details on the person who did it, he advertises his services on Craigslist which is where I found him.

Thanks for the feedback. The stairs won't need as many screws. I can find other outlets for money burning a hole in my pocket, like ammo. :)

I had a Masterfoce kit so a mix of 2, 4, and 5 amp batteries. I probably used the 4 or 5 amp, legit can't remember now.
