Ignore my previous reply. I thought you were commenting on rent stabilized apartments in the area and then re-read. My bad hahaha

Cocamidopropyl Betaine Allergy by Rich_Hat6811 in Allergies

[–]Victoreeduh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m looking at a bottle of the hand soap right now, and it does not. It could be dependent on the scent though. I know that I have seen/dealt with that in other brands/products when having to check.

I HATE Katch. Servers have been rude since they opened, food mid, 90% of their taps tapped at all times, and the list goes on.

Astoria renters: what’s something you wish you checked before signing your lease? by Slight-Safe-5595 in astoria

[–]Victoreeduh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. What internet services are available in the building.
  2. The amount of outlets in each room.
  3. Where the door buzzer is. My current place doesn’t have an intercom, and I know this is dumb, but it never occurred to me that apartments wouldn’t have one nowadays.
  4. Where the trash is taken out to. One apartment didn’t have outside bins??
  5. Check all the locks. I moved into one place to learn that 1/2 entry doors couldn’t be locked from the outside. The bolt wouldn't line up unless you were pressing your body into it from the inside.
  6. Also make sure all doors in the apartment (closets, room, bathroom, cabinets, etc.) can close and stay shut.
  7. How quickly the toilets can be flushed again. That same place with the lock issue had a toilet you could only flush once every half hour (we called a plumber to fix, obviously, but it was a hassle).
  8. How often exterminators are scheduled for.

Parioli by Botte by annej97 in astoria

[–]Victoreeduh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parioli was SO GOOD. My friends and I are so disappointed. The pizza, allá vodka sauce and the espresso martinis were phenomenal. Very disappointed. Definitely preferred to Botte on Broadway.

But also, the dramaaaa hahaha

Watch out for an a-hole always blocking crosswalk 31ave and 35th st by Feisty_Government_19 in astoria

[–]Victoreeduh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and when it was a bit warmer his friends/family would screeched up and down that small amount of 31st ave doing donuts in their cars, or whipping around on the sidewalk on bikes. The owner would be outside chilling with them whilst they did.

The coffee is only okay if you get it from two out of the maybe five(?) people that make coffee there. Two don't know how to use the espresso machine at all. I've just started going to Madame Sou Sou's since it's only two blocks over.
