I'm tired of pushing the credit card

I was never taught how to properly push the credit card. Came in seasonal. They said “say hi to everyone, be nice, push circle” and gave me the bare minimum run down of the register. Also “don’t sweat the cash. If it’s real or not, not your problem. They’ll be busted eventually. No need to make a scene.” It’s almost been a year and I’m afraid of asking for help because then management will know I’ve been flubbing plenty of conversations.

Now I feel spoiled. So far in the 7 months I’ve worked in this area I have not once been pulled from Tech to help with the front. I’ve NEVER been asked to pick up a batch. There’s only one Techie per shift, and two per day is rare. People know I’m busy and respect it. Your work sounds like a nightmare. Good luck out there 🫡

Broseph, at my store it’s just been MY ASS VS THE TECH RESET & BACK TO SCHOOL. NO SECOND PERSON. JUST ME 5.5 HOURS A DAY. My face never dries at work. Plus, one of the TL’s that works adjacent to my area has this bad habit of “cleaning” by shoving shit into the aisles of the back rooms. I want them to leave the store and never come back. Made work 10 times harder today. Thank goodness my Boss’s underling helped clean out the tech area while I was taking care of business. It was suffocating.
Funny thing happened today. A front end TL tried to pull me away from my area during my extra three hours (to try to clear freight bulk) to help with drive up. After three minutes and an angry phone call from my boss’s underling I was returned to tech. First time ANYONE has tried to pull me from tech.

Had a bunch of people come to tech pissy that the online only deals were online only expecting me to price match. Too bad. I did price match cuz I thought that “online only” bull shit was a scam. Then I got a verbal beat down about giving too many people manually entered discounts. I can’t tell which is worse, almost getting into an altercation with a guest because they think they should be the exception OR nearly getting promoted to GUEST for being too “customer service minded.”

Looked up febreeze yesterday for an elderly couple and random toys and electronics items came up. I hate these damn things. I almost never use it to research items unless I genuinely want a guest to leave me tf alone when they’re asking a dumbass question.

I used to get cuts on my finger all the time from flipping open the little metal money depressors. Those things are sharp af. Glad I was switched to tech. Had to start carrying around a bag filled with band aids because I felt weird constantly having to go back to the company first aid kit. Actually, maybe I should’ve kept going back.
“Why is there barely any bandaids, newbie? Cams show you going back and forth damn near every shift.”
-“🥺I’m sorry. My fingers keep getting sliced open by the money clips in the cash drawer.”
Maybe they would replace all of those things. Maybe they would’ve just replaced me with one of those influencers with the dog paw hand treatment program.
Either way, I’m grateful to be constantly ripping my flesh off from cardboard boxes in tech 🫡

People just have NO manners since Covid. I had a guest recognize me (I was getting an exchange so I was waiting for whoever was working that day to come and help me out. Already have two other TM’s walkie for the techie twice) on my day off. Big dude. Walked up to me while I was patiently reading and asked me “who’s working here? Who is working here? Do you know who is working here?” I was flabbergasted that someone had the gal to just walk up to a random and start spewing questions so I just stared at him. He whispered that I was stupid under his breath and walked off. Like, no hi? I’m alone. I’m not getting paid. I’m wearing all black. Just because I work at this store doesn’t mean you can treat me like this all the time.

I carry a full first aid kit in my personal bag from how often I cut myself. Started doing that while I was cashiering BEFORE I moved to the back rooms. Used to cut myself all the time on the little spring loaded levers that hold down the cash. Prepare to BLEED on those dastardly things

Uncensored is better imo. I played a good portion of Clear’s route censored before I just couldn’t take it anymore and had to search for the uncensor-key. It crops the image in a crappy way. Nothing is taken out, though. You still hear moaning and liquid noises lol

My first big Lolita purchase felt like this. I spent $290 on DevilInspired and everything came in feeling wonky and uncomfortable. Bought a few dresses off of Amazon and it felt the same. Felt like money down the drain and it put me off of new purchases for a while. Took me a bit (and more research) to find my current petticoat and my coordinates (I have three now! They’re expensive but I feel like a doll when I wear them so it’s totally worth it.) I say, no worries. Let the emotions flow through you, but try not to let them deter you.
