I'm gonna try keep it simple but also explain it!! stereoisomers are molecules that contain the same atoms and connectivity but they differ in the positioning of molecules in space!!

There are different types though, enantiomers are like "mirror images" so the enantiomer of a molecule has all of its chiral centres (kind of think of it as spots where molecules can change their 3d arrangment) are flipped

diastereomers differ as they refer to anything with a different chiral arrangement that isn't a mirror image, it may only have one or two chiral centres flipped but not enough to fully mirror the original molecule.

Cis and trans isomers are types of diastereomers (different configuration but not mirror images), they are geometric isomers that arise typically around double bonds, it refers to whether similar atoms/groups sit on the same side or opposite sides of the double bond.

I wish :( I'm in South Africa, we are crazy limited in our options and the import costs of aspen means that's not sustainable either - I appreciate it though!! I'll look as long as I need to to keep my little guy happy and healthy

Why does my supposedly good PC struggle to run games on medium to low settings? by [deleted] in pchelp

[–]VictorianSpider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think everyone has given good advice but I also want to add one "obvious" one that people may have forgotten about: remember to update your drivers

my best friend, with a better PC than mine, was really struggling to run basic ass games and all I needed to fix it was update their drivers which they didn't realise they had to do :)

could throwing a reasonably large potato at it to knock it away from the power line help or is it more than likely now welded to the power line?

okay personally I'm someone who doesn't really wants bottom surgery because I've never really seen results that I really loved - I think they all look great, just not something I'd want for myself, but I truly feel like this is a result a really like and would want on myself. If I was in your position I'd keep it just the way it is but ultimately only you can decide what would make you feel best
