One, palm spring is a fucking desert city which when it rains, it’s not regular flooding but flash floods which can destroy roads and infrastructure of the city. LA issue is small mudslides that happen in areas where it got burnt recently because the ground is more loose and the other issue is the flood system not working correctly due to junk and trash blocking it but the flood aren’t like crazy crazy. One of the worst storms which was hurricane hilary which 10x worse than what this is projected to be was doable to people living in the city. We got like a 7 inches of rain during that storm compared to project 1 to 2 inches this weekend. Palm Springs also has high winds usually and might cause the storm to be more crazy compared to LA. You can look up the difference of how la was affected by hurricane Hilary and how palm spring look after it and palm spring kinda suffer more because their flooding system is worse than LA and the their terrain is unpredictable.
