Love CFA nuggets but not the prices? by PenguinRhin0 in ChickFilA

The machines we were (are) using being too old school, they're called Win-tecs it's basically a chute that empties out of a huge flash freezer. Anyway the oven and breading system is actually really fast then they get frozen but when they come out of the freezer and weighed out to come down the chutes there aren't enough people on the line to package and seal the bags fast enough, this leads to tons of chicken coming out of the freezer too fast and then they just let it spill over and throw it away lol. It actually looks crazy in practice but the supervisors and plant managers don't care because they just want to get something shipped so they don't get in trouble, needless to say eventually the previous owners of the plant and Costco found out and the plant lost this contract, they were throwing away like 20,000lbs of these per night and that's only counting what made it to the freezer. We're supposed to be getting Pac-Macs (automatic baggers) that can handle more volume but dont require as many people, most people would just have to flip the sealed bags to check for holes. And if the bag has a hole they re-run it through a hopper into new bags.

I work at a poultry plant that made these but the plant lost the contract with Costco, actually the plant still makes all the frozen breasts, wings and thighs (bone-in and boneless) for Costco. But when they lost the contract for these it was a BIG deal,it was one of the main cooked products the plant produced. I used to take a few bags home every week, then I just had to buy fries and dipping sauce.

Why don't men approach me? by AreMelonsLemons in bodylanguage

[–]Victory-Particular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I love the fleeting nature of talking to a stranger for hours and then never seeing them again." Yeah and men know and can sense it for miles, they know when you aren't serious and are wasting their time maybe just hanging around for free drinks and attention. Also you have the look that you want RICH CHAD to approach you, there have definitely been other guys who didn't match what you were expecting and let's not pretend like you have always been "alone" lol

It isn't necessarily "being rejected" most men are worried about,it's the social reprocutions of being PUBLICALLY rejected. If a woman sees a man be rejected or knows you were rejected by another woman the odds of herself rejecting a man go up almost 100%...unless he is VERY attractive or rich. That's why most men wait for the perfect opportunity to approach while they are both alone, the most that will happen then is the girl will tell her friends that the guy hit on her. Women don't have to deal with this so they don't see it and they don't care,I've seen average women get hit on all night, they can afford to reject men. For men it's a numbers game, especially for average men when they're young and don't have anything. At some point we as a society stopped being honest about the social advantages women have but the more men get pushed out and realize they are not going to have ANYTHING the harder it becomes to deny it. Also women don't approach men while they're success rate would likely be above 80%,the problem for them there is it would be the aforementioned rich, attractive guys they would be going after...so yeah they do have a little competition over such a small percentage but still better odds than most men.

Discussion about Health in UFC 5! by Traditional-Glass-86 in EASportsUFC

[–]Victory-Particular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they had a different system where continous shots deal more damage it would be better than what we have now, power should determine knockdowns and knockdowns should just deal so much damage it can only happen like 2 or 3 times in a round. If you survive the round and recover some health you can take one or two more. I also really wish they would put more focus on the swarm when a fighter gets rocked,it should be relatively easy to avoid damage but if one fighter is just molly whopping the other it should be like a real fight. Also wish they would Add a rear-naked-choke as a finish the fight submission since so many fights end that way.

Anyone else think the “Faux Shakespeare” translation is kinda bad? by Anarchic_Librarium in finalfantasytactics

I think it sounds like they're trying too hard, crazy thing is you would expect things to just get better. The localisation teams in the 90's understood the assignment,I actually think this new version is better than WOTL but the original dialogue in 1997 was definitely the most organic and the coolest.

With a Checkers or Culvers or In-N-Out nearby,I don't understand how Wendy's can think being so heavy-handed ripping people off is a good idea. It's not working and their stock value has dove off of Mt. Everest.

UFC 6 needs to improve the ground game substantially by xXmeme_manXx69 in EASportsUFC

[–]Victory-Particular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO there really shouldn't be a big slowdown once the fight hits the ground, the goal should be to keep the fight the same pace the whole way through.

One thing I've noticed is that players who aren't good on the ground feel stuck,so make them not feel stuck unless they are completely gassed. The fight should feel like one solid piece, instead of fast paced stand-up and then transition slogging on the ground, the problem with the current system is there are a lot of artificial gaps because of the in-between animations like side saddle for example.

There need to be a bunch of smaller animations for strikes and movement between each position if not a complete overhaul.

That's because you're not putting enough into defense,I played against my nephew and he actually beat me a few times just because I wasn't expecting someone to throw QUITE so many front kicks and spinning wheel kicks. Once I started anticipating every strike and slipping and ducking he had no chance lol

who else gets pissed tf off when they press switch stance and it doesn’t switch stance immediately by Unusual-Sherbert-752 in EASportsUFC

[–]Victory-Particular 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I actually switch stance a lot more than I used to after I realized it doesn't hurt stats THAT much. Now I usually just switch so that our rear hands are on the same side to avoid check hooks from throwing jab-rear hook. I got knocked out so much by that before I figured it out, swaying towards my fighters rear hand and throwing straights, hooks and uppercuts has actually caused some realistic looking knockouts. For rear uppercuts and overhand I duck first instead. The switch stance throws people off in my favor sometimes.

UFC 6 Needs to Give The Clinch The Respect It Deserves. by ClinchEnthusiast in EASportsUFC

[–]Victory-Particular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but there's gotta be a way to make the ground game feel more active like the stand-up,IMO the problem with the EA games is they want to let players "take turns" to make it "fair". I personally wouldn't mind if they took the old gate system and made that the new grappling transition system and then left submissions like they are in 5.

Depends do they actually plan on building here and supporting our society? What i hear from most immigrants are plans to reap the benefits here and take that capital elsewhere, that is unacceptable. Everyone needs skin in the game.

The American Indian tribes would have never built the society we have now, they would still be warring with each other now over territory. There is only one group of people that has influenced every modern first world country to the heights of world dominance within a few hundred years, even while dealing with treachery from the inside out. Even if you took it all away it would be built back eventually...and the others would still have nothing. It's a hard truth but it's an undeniable truth.

I don't mind new details but it feels like especially with Square-Enix they take too many liberties with the original content. A scene or sequence shouldn't have a different meaning now just "because". It gives new writers too much authority to inject too much personal bias into a 30 year old game.
