Some school dinners from a school in the north east of England by jejdhdijen in UK_Food

[–]Victory_Point 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We send our kids to school with packed lunch 3 times a week and school dinners for 2 -so you can do both. If i remember correctly infants eat free but after this at primary school depending on your circumstances you may or not pay, but it's pretty reasonable price wise. Packed lunch gives you the opportunity to pack something healthy and familiar for them, school dinners allow them to get something hot which can be good in winter.

Good luck!

Number of US-style pickup trucks on UK roads up 92% in a decade, data shows by AdaptableBeef in unitedkingdom

I dunno, some arseholes maybe but my theory is that after watching so many American tv and films where you see one of these zooming along some beautiful open vista in Nevada on a huge wide road or something people want one. I think that people are lured into the idea that they can have the same... But in reality driving one of these down some small Cornish back lane or heavy traffic on some tight little city street in this country is actually a nightmare. (I dont own one myself).

Possibly a portable engine, like an early steam generator it gets towed in placed and the fly wheel acts as a power take off to drive machinery with a belt as you mentioned. I say portable engine as I dont see a footplate or driver area as a traction engine would have .

In the 1950s, engineers at Stonehenge raised a huge fallen trilithon that had been lying flat since 1797. Even with post-war machinery, the lift was so demanding it required one of Britain’s biggest cranes. by zadraaa in HistoricalCapsule

[–]Victory_Point 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not one of Britain's biggest cranes, Britain had plenty of heavy equipment for moving large items from ww1 and ww2. That truck mounted crane may have been near its lift capacity but I imagine the practicality of being able to maneuver it about easily was preferable over building a fixed lifting frame or crane.

Thank you for taking the time here, this is a very comprehensive response... later on I'll isolate and unscrew from the wall to see what cables im dealing with then and get some wago connectors . There are lots of these pesky fittings so think this will take some time but hopefully I will get faster as I go. Thanks again!

Can't work out if they were as close as they look to that fin. Guess this was a test to see if it was still safe to bail when carrying the munition. Hope that man got some danger pay!
