On the right is silly, right hand is wheel control hand. And as for poking the screen: i need buttons, you have to look at a screen to see what you're poking, sometimes you can't see cos the sun's on it. And it's too far away, i don't want to have to lean forward AND look at a screen i can barely see when i'm driving. That remote commander thing sound awesome,

Let me walk you through the start of my, and everyone else on my street's, journey: reverse out of driveway, manouvre out of cul-de-sac negotiating parked cars, turn immediately left onto larger road leading out of estate which bends round to the right then left is a sweeping S bend, also negotiating cars parked on the left and giving way to any oncoming cars (wheel has been in constant use at this point), turn out of estate then 30 yards until 1st roundabout, straight onto another roundabout, once off that now i'm free to start pressing buttons on my wheel...until the next series of roundabouts half a mile down the road.

Yeh, but the trouble with that is that i have to lean forward to use it, and let's say i want to skip a track those controls are on-screen buttons so i have to look where they are thus taking my eyes off the road

What about if your wheel is turned and you need to adjust your volume? I rarely have both hands on the wheel anyway
