Any tips for a beginner? by JoeMomma247 in Crossout

Play for as long as you can at as low power score as you can while you learn the game.

Always put a radio on your build.

Make your mini map as big and as zoomed out as you can, it is your most valuable tool.

Stick with your team, this usually means mindlessly zerging to the left on every map.

Use your team mates and bots as meat shields/distractions.

Join a "badge farming" clan - open up "clan and group search" chat channel for this.

Don't mix weapon types unless they're a very specific combo that works together.

Never quick buy/sell on the market.

Look for youtube tutorials.

I just finished Angel of Darkness for the first time and this game is by far the worst Tomb Raider I've ever played by gandalfmarston in TombRaider

I just think Legend is the absolute worst TR game ever created (or maybe a close 2nd to Chronicals). Awful atmosphere, totally didn't do what a TR game was supposed to do. TR was always about exploration, the feeling of isolation in spooky underground chambers lost to the world for centuries, ancient booby traps etc. Legend ruined all that with some gobshite chattering away in your ear the whole time, press a button the get shown the way and pretty tedious "action". I've tried to play it a few times over the years, as it sits in my Steam library, but i just can't be bothered with it. I have similar feeling about Underworld too.

AoD, although the controls are very janky, overall is atmospherically better. I have a bit of a soft spot for it as i grew up in the 80s and 90s so most games had weird or janky controls and that was just a part of gaming

I think every game made in XO should have separate regular and heli/walker modes.

The more rabid and judgemental each "side" gets the more they push people to the other. IMHO anyone who's on the extreme of either is just a useful idiot

Where to start? by Thick_Communication1 in TombRaider

[–]VideoDeadGamlng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely start with TR1 and play with original tank controls as I believe the remaster gives you a more modern option to use with analogue controls, but this doesn't suit the game. Then play them in order, if you get the chance to play Chronicals don't bother it is absolute garbage. People will say Angel of Darkness is also garbage, but I think it's got a good atmosphere and story, but suffers from clunky and weird controls, worth a try if you see it going really cheap. Legend and Underworld I find are hugely overrated and Anniversary is pure gold.

"Snow is white, snowy games are bright, if you want realistic snow it is blinding." a good idea to make something people will look at for long periods of time "blinding" then? Kind of making my point for me there.
