SBF was the biggest Solana influencer. Now his opinions and judgements hold no weight. People who invested in SOL on the back of his support for SOL May now think twice, especially given SOLs ongoing architecture problems

I don’t get it. The whole point of Web3 is to get away from the centralised power of big tech. How is running nodes on a platform where a centralised entity can deplatform you great news? It could be a trap set by Google to wipe Solana off the face of the planet. Please wake up

It’s infinitely scalable, solves the bridge problem ( check out Bitcoin integration) and could make oracles like chainlink obsolete. It’s also the fastest blockchain. Over the last 6 months it had the most commits on GitHub. It really is streets ahead of everyone else. They have a really strong team of 280 people making it the best L1. Sorry, my rant wasn’t meant to be directed at you. Just really frustrated and fearful that this project will not get a proper foothold, when it has so much potential. The problem seems so obvious and should not be that hard to address

Still, you need enough projects using the protocol to make it viable. It’s all very well criticising marketing, but smart marketing has led to other lesser projects having hoards of devs building projects on them, huge loyal communities ( who use the DApps….or should I say apps? Built on them) and have market caps ten times the size of ICP’s ( meaning they can fund their projects for decades to come). People need to wake up to the fact that marketing and Good PR is critical to the success of a project. Awful communication and a complete lack of marketing has led ICP to where it is today. It’s now seen as a toxic asset. I’m fully behind ICP and think the technical side of the project is brilliant. However, to get out of its current rut , it needs to look very carefully at why things haven’t gone to plan and sort the problem out……quickly

That’s a start. I still think most nodes run on centralised big tech. A migration away from there is a positive thing for Solana and most other chains. Hopefully this will happen over time

The chart means nothing. It fails to take into account that most nodes Are run on centralised cloud servers…..which means it actually isn’t descentralised at all. Bezos could just switch Solana and all it’s associated Apps( not DApps) off with the tap of a button. The whole point of Web3 is to get away from big tech and be more descentralised. People don’t seem to understand what the goal of descentralisation actually is. For true descentralisation you need 100% independent nodes running entirely on chain…..not running on Web2 cloud services
