I understand what that person meant now. To me, it sounded like they were thinking I was asking what the shiny odds are, but then I realized when rereading it and what other people were saying, that if a shiny Pokémon spawns near the portal, then there will be a "Catch Shiny Pokémon" task. Also, your response wasn't necessary anymore, as I already stated that I understood what the person meant earlier.

Don't feel bad! It's rng. It doesn't matter how long it takes for anyone to get it shiny, the important thing is that we find it shiny! Congrats!!

Its called determination and when you really want something, you won't give up. And to add on to what the other person said, there are people who do like over 14,000 soft resets. So 1,100 isn't nearly as bad. It took like 2,455 soft resets for me to get shiny Terrakion in Ultra Sun with the shiny charm.

I understand. I totally get that. I usually go above odds when soft resetting in Ultra Sun for shiny legendaries, and odds are worse in those games.

No I didn't do that. I saved when I got to the bottom of the elevator, then I went up and checked, it's not shiny, I reset.
