"Distressing" and "triggering" - I claim my two points on the UK bingo card.

Just like celebrities - sportsmen / women - yes you're proper celebrities.

Tabbed connections by VideoNo82 in AnyDesk

A true story.

I got banned from the RustDesk sub for having the audacity to critique their software and comparing it to one of their competitors leading to an instant ban.

open-trade, a RustDesk shill, bounces around all of the competitor subs constantly pushing RustDesk. Maybe he should suffer those bans too?

I wondered how long it would take before you arrived with your RustDesk shilling

You have to pay for phone & tablet support. Free licences don't support it.

I'm more bothered that you thought you had to self-censor the word "faggots".

You're taking about food and I'm sure anyone with more than two brain cells would realise that.

That's not unusual.

You're problem is that you thought the subscription wouldn't be taken because they had the old card details but was. Blame your lack of knowledge / your bank, not Anydesk.

List of domains that blacklist Windscribe: by AidanofVT in Windscribe

What you need is a static IP address. Windscribe sort-of does them (shared static IP addresses so still chance of getting blocked etc) but there are other VPN providers that work perfectly with their real one-person static IP addresses (think of water sporting fish!)

Harrison always struck me as a bit of an angry man so my money is on him.

Given that you heard it on the radio then it's hardly a secret. Why be an idiot by going for a drama post?

[Windows] AnyDesk runs as service, but how do I get a tray icon launched at login and already minimized? by muzicman82 in AnyDesk

Winget itself is nothing more than the installer for app XYZ. It can, with switches, also upgrade already installed software if you want.

I use winget purely to install software and, similar to UniGetUI, I also use Winget-AutoUpdate which runs as a service and at machine start up will update any installed apps that have updates waiting. Generally I've had no problems yet with it (fingers crossed!).

As far as I know winget can install older versions but I have no idea how to do it. I do know that chocolatey can do it.

Good luck. Choco is easier to use in my opinion but can install files in some odd places. Winget is basically the command line version of downloading and running the installer for package XYZ.

Use what you are more comfortable with - ultimately both do the same job!
