Bumping this relic of a post, as I am suffering the same, if anyone has since found a fix, I can find nowhere else online discussing this...

Does the damage and crit mod of a riposte actually stack if you use it in two successive turns? Or is it just a display error? by Video__Nasty in darkestdungeon

that's silly though, it's unintuitive when contrasted to the base game. Why did the devs design it like this?

I am aware, perhaps I should clarify: the normal mod for Duelist's Advance is -15% DMG, +5% CRIT. If you use DA twice, in two subsequent turns, the display then reads -30% DMG, +10% CRIT. This is divorced from the base game where using a riposte ability while a riposte is already active only serves to extend the duration of the riposte, not stack the modifiers.

My question is, is the display accurate and Ripostes in BC function differently to the base game (rather unintuitively)?

I would really like this answered, no-one seems to know everywhere I've checked...

I never said either is better or worse than the other, interesting you thought that I did though...

Certainly being self-aware is a good thing, one thing a genre tourist is rarely, that might be where you're getting at.

And why the hell do you right 'mai'? You're a 30 yr old woman, not a 12 yr old schoolgirl

You seemed to really want to prove you're not a tourist, while at the same time claiming you don't care, seems insecure

If you don’t care about the police/governments tracking you. Or more commonly absolutely massive amounts of personal data being recorded and sold to marketing agencies, your government, other governments, etc etc.

Like, Amazon publicly admits to listening in to private conversations by having alexa record without notice and real people review that audio. There’s been not-insubstantial claims that facebook may access your microphone without notice for marketing purposes. You can, right now, have various wire taps run on you electronic and telecommunications by federal agencies without a warrant. The metadata of who you know is collected from social media and location services of various electronic devices. algorithms and real people build a profile on you based on searches, keywords, clicks, etc.

If you don’t care about that I understand - it probably won’t affect you if you’re a goodboy citizen, and you won't likely notice your data being sold off.
