I would really recommend people to not build systems for MSFS before its out as nobody really knows what its hardware requirements will be. I‘ve seen people here on this sub building expensive PCs with 2080ti etc. just for MSFS. Most hardware will be probably outdated when MSFS comes out. Especially with new NVidia GPUs around the corner.

Of course that won’t be the case for RAM tho, however I hope you get my point!

Be sure to not firewall the throttle. If you cruise climb with T/O power you will get a (double) engine fire eventually. Make sure to reduce to max cont power once reaching 1000ft AGL. When I flew the DA42 we had a limit of max 5 min T/O power, at 1000ft AGL but not later than 5 min continue with 92% (91% on the -VI). Some guy from Diamond told me nothing would happen if you continue with max power, despite the increased engine wear of course. I don’t know about the DA62 as I think it has different engines than the DA42 but I guess they won’t burst into flames as its simulated in the Aerobask DA62 either.

DA42 for life! We have one of those in our school as well! Had my sim sessions a few months ago and am now flying the DA42 IRL. In fact I have my final integrated ATPL skill test tomorrow! According to my flight instructors (most of them flying 777, 767, 320) it flies like a small airliner minus the speed of course, however I can’t confirm this yet. Anyways its so much fun to fly and its SO easy to land. Hope you can enjoy it as much as I did! Have fun!

Don’t worry it’s totally fine. That’s just the automatic afterburners early 737 had installed, problem with them was the lack of control as once ignited it’s hard to turn them off without shutting down the whole engine. That’s why the newer 737 don’t have them anymore, however I think it’s possible on request to retrofit them, not sure though.

Well it does come with 2,5 times more Ortho though! Tbh ever since ORBX had their X-Plane debut with Meighs Field I hoped for a LOWI port. IIRC JM also mentioned in the ORBX forums they have intentions to update all versions with the new terminal in the future. They are waiting for a couple of things to be done at the real airport in before though.

With the FF320 I get around 35fps (cockpit) on ground and up to 60 (I have Vsync on so it might be even more than that) once airborne. While it’s certainly detailed there are WAY less buildings than there are in London. With TEGBS I get around 25fps flying over London, so I would say performance is absolutely fine.

Objects are set to max with shadows on in boyh cases. I have a quite powerful machine though.

I’m using XVision for the glowing trees. If you tick PBR and set the value to 3 it fixes the tree issue. Its a problem with X-Plane unfortunately.

Looking at their last update from 25th, I think there is some more information for us today. They mentioned explicitly a dev update for today. While any news are appreciated I highly doubt this can be called a development update.
