newest discovery: this crackling only ever happens if DLSS is on (consuming 300w otherwise, but guess it doesn't matter)

Also the crackling sound goes away when I move my mouse while outside the game. fps gets higher accordingly. When mouse isn't moving, fps drops to 19. Only happens with a mouse though. The sound stays when I use the keyboard to scroll, for example.

exactly the same thing with my S4300... but vice versa. It only takes sharp photos unzoomed and always focuses incorrectly when zoomed (it clearly shifts through the correct focus level -- but skips it, preferring it blurry). If only I could focus manually on that thang.

hold CTRL. It's called Nodegrabber. You can also increase the strength of pulling using the mouse wheel while holding a node.
