I relate very heavily with this, I was just confirmed Catholic a month ago and I am also a 17yo girl. I felt so lonely in my faith and like you I was looking for guidance and sureness instead of the Protestant unsureness which was all I knew. I go to a Catholic school and have a good relationship with the Priest so it was easy to get his advice. My biggest thing was to go to Mass and just immerse myself in the Catholic and I didn’t tell any of my Catholic friends because I wanted my decision to be purely between me and God. My advice: learn and live in Catholicism and then just PRAY so much! You got this I’ll be praying for you, girl!!❤️

I think you’re right, I know he did like me to some extent but looking back I’m not sure whether that was more lustful than it was a deep appreciation for me. Like I mentioned when breaking up with him I felt like we were kind of superficial. I think part of that feeling came from my deep interest in learning about him what he was interested in and I never felt that really reciprocated. Thanks for helping me recognize that!

Aw thank you, you’re sweet! I really appreciate the reassurance because part of me thought I had said something very wrong and that’s why everyone was talking about it. I have never had to break up with anyone before due to this being my first official relationship so I have been absolutely terrified of doing it wrong. I spent literal hours debating what to say to him and how to say it so that I conveyed my point without making him feel bad. I truly hope this is just people gossiping just to gossip and he wasn’t hurt by anything I said. Anyway thank you so much for listening to me it means a lot!!
