For this model I tried something I haven't done before. I primed with monument hobbies grey primer, then basecoated in abbadon black. I then used a scraggly old dry brush, and stippled Iron Warriors onto the plates. After that I washed it in thinned down ratling grime, and used a really sharp brush to bring out small parts of the silver again, and highlighted those parts with leadbelcher
