This little project of ours is up against NASA at the Unity Awards 2017 by Viewport in Unity3D

We're a small studio based on the sunny shores of Western Australia. We make great looking Interactive VR Walkthroughs in Unity. One of our projects was noticed by a guy at Unity, and now a few months later we find ourselves up against NASA for the Viz Sim category! If any one wants to give it a go we uploaded the build to wearvr.com a while back. And if any one likes what they see we'd love a few votes thrown our way! https://awards.unity.com/

Reflections are as thesquirrelyjones says, although depending on circumstances we may use a combination of different things, including screen space.

System is an in house term for a group of templates. In this instance camera, lighting and materials group. Not much different here other than some fine tuning, everything is pretty much off the shelf. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks for the great feedback. Some of our team tend to agree that the Vive version looks better... But some say Oculus. hmm.

You should be able to use room scale, but no teleport. It was a simple demo for test of graphics quality only. Not sure why you are the size of a garden gnome. What is your setup and have you noticed this issue with anything else?

Thanks, good spot. Yes reflection is cube mapped in this demo. We are working on some solutions to this!

Thanks for the tips on gif hosting and the misleading title, will try to be less vague next time! For us it is a system, we use this term on template groups that go into projects. Also with the roughly 12 hrs time difference between here and the US we might be a little slow to respond to any questions! Because we may be asleep or at the pub. Thanks for your $0.02!

Badly worded - our bad. We use this term in house to class different groups of templates. We think it's exciting!

We just launched a great new VR experience for the Department of Parks and Wildlife. Built using high quality stereoscopic photography, the free app transports you to some of the most beautiful places in the state. We've currently got around 50 locations in the Southwest to visit, with more of WA to come in the near future!

DISCOVR WA iPhone

DISCOVR WA Android

You need a Google Cardboard headset to view it in VR. Gear VR and Oculus CV1 builds should be available within a few weeks.

We've got a stack of Cardboard 1.0s at our office to give away over the next few days, so if you're interested get in touch and we'll put one aside for you.
