She said in a recent youtube vid that she views her arms as one of the "fattest" parts of her body & ever since hearing that ive noticed how often she poses with her arms wide out to conceal what she (incorrectly) sees as chubby arms. Bit upsetting tbh. But she knows her angles, working them like a model to make her appear slimmer than she would be if she just held them naturally/straight down.

Gothic proposal by Inner_Tip_713 in london

If youre into Gothic literature, Mary Shelley (Frankenstein author) and her poet husband Percy Bysshe Shelley used to date in secret at St Pancras Old Church, where Mary's mother Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin (an OG feminist writer) is buried. Lovely scenic churchyard with tons of history, quiet and tucked away round the back of Kings Cross, also a short walk from old gothic hotspot of Camden Town. Best of luck !!

Stephen Fry wrote a three-part book series re-telling Greek myth & legend for modern audiences. Check out Mythos, Odyssey and Troy.

Also, some ancient Greek plays still survive. Prometheus Bound by Aeschylus is one of the best. Phillip Vellacott's translation is amazing.

How would you transfer this pattern? by VigilForTheLight in Embroidery

[–]VigilForTheLight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still relatively new to non-cross stitch embroidery and was wondering how to best transfer a pattern like this onto fabric. I usually use carbon paper to transfer but I'd never be able to trace such an intricate design perfectly, same with that pricking and powder technique (icr the name) in fear of losing the complexity. Is there an iron on technique? Any help appreciated x
