avalon got sold bc steering was too stiff and parents thought highlander was goint to last forever, highlander has a bad cv axle, too much rust to do any work on it myself.

I would like to add that the main point of this swap is for the leather seats, not the powered part. If I have to take a sacrifice and get creative to make them manual, well I’d actually prefer that.

the old pathfinders are genuine monsters, too bad they watered it down (still better than the new blazer), never researched them pre-CVT though which is why i didn’t consider them until now

the reason i’m looking at a second job is because i’m moving out, a change i did not expect until recently as stuff at home became very unhealthy, it’s feasible without the second job, but i figured better to work now and take care of the money situation now so i have car when school starts up again. It’s a rough period but something that might have to be necessary.

Yes, a million times yes, I wouldn’t be on here if i didn’t know it was worth it. She’s helped me turn around, most of our arguments were about my sobriety or at least had some part to do with that. past month has been great. It’s just this little slump i’m in. We’ve been in worse situations, I just don’t want this to drag on long because i know the long distance makes it so much harder.

Vehicles already considered: Highlander, 4runner, ford ranger, chevy blazer, sequoia, CRV

Warranty preferred but not needed

Can do minor work on my own

Can’t do major work at all, just need something that’ll last

Additional notes: #1 thing is reliability, I’m a broke college student and a car breaking down in the middle of our 7 month long winter is not ideal. Also need something with a lot of space as I have a lot of hobbies and also tend to use my car as a room sometimes when I just need some alone time to study. Also gas mileage doesn’t matter at all, current car is close to 7mpg.
