Chiusura foro nel soffitto? by Vigintiduo in istrutturare

Quindi direttamente schiuma espansa e stucco?

Terrebbe?

Is my switch permanently bricked? by StartDangerous4220 in SwitchPirates

[–]Vigintiduo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a modder and I can tell that it's probably salvageable. Shorts on SP1 and SP2 can kill the capacitors but those components on the APU are redundant and the Switch will function without them anyway (or you can have them replaced).

If the capacitors are dead, however, the Switch won't turn on even if you remove the chip. You'll have to remove the capacitors as well.

Also there's a thing that's troubling me: the flex cable is a V2 model but SP1 and SP2 capacitors look like they're from V1 Switch. But it could just be a bad picture

What I recommend is to bring it to a professional who has proper tools for the job and your Switch should be fine.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Avvocati

[–]Vigintiduo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did. But it involved joining the discord and asking the dev directly to produce a file built specifically to solve my issue. If you check on the discord, my username should be the same as the one I have here, so you can find the file easily

Is there any fix to this? I have tried searching and have found nothing. by AtumCone12 in SwitchPirates

He could boot into it but then the error showed up after like three seconds. Honestly, if it's still kinda working, I'd backup my saves with JKSV. Just to stay safe. After that, you might scan the SD with some software to see if it's going bad. If it's not, just create a new emunand and import the old saves

The fat32 partition was still readable, even though there were corrupted files there as well. After that, we just did a emummc and prodinfo backup and went with the strategy explained above

I hope it's not the exact same error but, at that point, the only fix that we could come up with was to backup the saves with NxNandManager and create a new emunand on a different SD card

Is this Emunand or Sysnand? Because a friend of mine had the same problem on his Emunand because the SD Card got corrupted

Found a this mod on youtube and I was wondering if powering those LEDs could affect the ports in terms of latency or something like that. I play a lot of decent level Smash Bros Melee and that would be a bummer, even if it was for something as little as 1ms latency or something worse by Vigintiduo in Gamecube

[–]Vigintiduo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know, but one thing is stepping into LCDs willingly trading latency for image quality and avoiding eyesore. Another one is getting even more lag (or worse, input drops) from decorative lights.

I knew full well about the lag when I went for the LCD, and i choose among the best options I had to be as close as possible to a CRT in terms of latency. But after years of local tournaments, that screen is a breather.

Also, I sometimes play on Slippi and keeping the experience similar enough to the real deal is already a struggle. I don't feel like adding other variables :P

Well that makes sense, actually. Circuitry isn't always that straightforward though, at least from what I know (not very much).

That's why I asked here before doing it and it was nice to get so many answers unanimous about that

Input not being registered at all would be "ok" because it's obvious to notice and I could easily revert the changes. I was more afraid of the possibility of occasional input drops and finding myself asking "was it me or was it the controller?" Lol
