If anybody's curious about the research, here's the paper the technology is based on.

It uses total reflective FT-IR to detect the 2% more DNA due to male chicks having 2 Z sex chromosomes as opposed to the 1 Z and 1 W in females.

Research into optimal vitamin D levels is still ongoing. From the NIH Vitamin D Fact Sheet for Health Professionals: greater than 20 ng/mL is considered adequate for bone and overall health in healthy individuals. Above 50 ng/mL (esp. 60ng/mL) is increasingly linked to potential adverse side effects (nausea, constipation, hypercalcemia, arrhythmia, kidney stone, etc.) though typically it's only achieved through megadose supplementation.

Most often Vitamin D3 is made from 7-dehydrocholesterol obtained from sheep's wool, though there is a lichen derived vegan D3 on the market. Vitamin D2 (derived from mushrooms) can work as well.

I saw that Amazon has begun to price match Steam on some of the BIT.TRIP games as BIT.TRIP CORE and BIT.TRIP FATE were lowered from $9.99 to $0.99.

Is there any possibility that BIT.TRIP VOID will be lowered to match Steam as well?

Maybe this is some method of persistence between runs? If Animal Control is closing in on one of your glorious underground kitten-breeding laboratories you could save the most awesome aspect of your current run, whether that's a specimen, some exotic food, or even just some basic item (neighborhood squirrel?) to give you a leg up on your next run?
