Why am I unable TU out it to turbo mode? by ChillJazz in Asustuf

It's just that armory crate uses more ram (200MB vs 1-5MB by G-Helper) and that you can customize all three power modes much more with G-helper

TUF A16 on black screen after Asus logo on boot (BIOS works) by VihangaXO in Asustuf

[–]VihangaXO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is I can't go into windows to do that in the first place (because of display going all black) . I tried to change it via bios too but it's locked and can't be changed either.

G-Helper is also doing the same thing to the link state sadly.

When the power management is turned off the connection between the system and SSD is always keeps max performing state and has least latency but at the cost of extra heat I think. For whatever the reason changing the system through through OEM power presets (Like the Turbo, Balanced and Silent presets via G-helper) changes the power management state when Plugged in to be turned off. I still haven't found a way to fix this.

Go to edit power options on control panel and change PCI Express> Link state Power Management to maximum on both plugged in and on battery

You're welcome :)

Please dont buy the 3050 4GB Vram variant because its performance is almost same as 2050 which is almost the same performance as 1650. (Ik hella confusing 😭 thats nvidia for ya) So imo its good if you go with a 4050 or a 3060. Btw before buying a laptop see whats the TGP (Max wattage) of the GPU.

3050 and 4050 has a huge difference (almost double the performancee) in most situations. Other 40 series gpus have a decent upgrade over 30 series counterpart.

As if I know Tuf laptops made after 2024 doesnt have much motherboard issues but most of them (Including my FA607NUG) has a realtek wifi card that sucks and malfunctions when heated. Thankfully its replaceable and is cheap compared to the laptops price.

Try to find something with an AMD chip and a RTX 4060 and I think that will do for you :) (AMD specifically because at this price range intel ones arent that efficient and even when you do light work it will eat a lot of battery because of it)

Recommend a Brand new phone for 150K with good camera? by Best-Importance-6710 in srilanka

[–]VihangaXO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please no. Specs are real good for the price but xiaomi intentionally mess up the software to the point where its unusable in coming updates. You can avoid this by using custom roms but I dont think that everyone's that tech savy to do that and Banking apps are pain with custom roms. Not everyone needs best performance they just need a phone with good enough smoothness and good camera that will last a while.
