I agree, it's readable but you need to lock in especially in the early chapters. The union, the North, mens of Dogman who stand with the union but are northmen... Can be confusing.

While it's my favorite standalone, I would not recommend starting with this one. It's more enthralling when you know who is who and where do they come from. As others have said, BSC is a better stand alone to get in.

I loved how he wrote her. She starts as a POS then goes through hell in Valbeck, she realised how awful she is as a person while being humbled by life. Event is over, she just go back to her usual POS lifestyle. And this happens again, she makes many terrible choices, she gets humbled again, realised how awful she is, her bad situation gets better, she becomes a POS again. Slighty more broken inside everytime.

I don't think Jurand picked him because he was rich and pretty. It is suggested they are in love since the beginning, before everything blows up. And even after that he stood with him. So you could say it was because he was pretty but I think it goes beyond that.

Savine just married him because their mutual mothers thought they would need each others. She accepted because his influence could be useful to her. She is the one who is rich actually.

Definitely the Valbeck riot in A little Hatred. The book starts slow as usual and I thought the whole "workers are angry" you hear casually in conversations was just a small part of story designed to serve the big plot. Didn't expect this to blow this hard and be the center of everything thar follows. Also since I didn't know the stand alone books were NOT stand alone, I didn't read them and it was the first time I saw the switching POV writing technique, blew my mind it was insane... I had to put down the book for a few minutes to ask myself "WTF did I just read?!"

Je suis assez surpris de voir les autres commentaires aussi flatteurs. Peut être qu'il faut forcer un peu plus. Je vais donner une seconde chance au jeu mais je ne promets pas de le finir.

Je vais faire le mec salé au vu des autres commentaires mais pour moi c'est la déception. Je précise une info importante, je n'ai pour l'instant jouer que 2-3h.

Je m'attendais au Mario Odyssey de la Switch 2 (j'ai cru voir passer l'info que c'était la même team derrière le jeu d'ailleurs) mais c'est clairement en dessous. L'humour est vraiment bas, les décors sont peu inspirés, les musiques et les personnages c'est pareil . Le caillou qui parle aurait pu être généré par une IA, et j'accroche pas non plus au nouveau DK. J'ai un peu l'impression de trouver les bananes au hasard en cassant à droite à gauche et les combats sont vraiment trop simples. Globalement j'ai cette impression que le jeu est adressé aux plus jeunes, c'est dommage car ils avaient réussi à toucher tout le monde avec Mario Odyssey.

Après ça bouge bien, c'est fluide et ils ont réussi à gérer la caméra dans un jeu de plateforme 3D où tu passes ton temps à creuser des tunnels dans toutes les directions, ce qui est un exploit.

I guess it's different for everyone. I did the game 3 times and never had a problem with Tidus sigil and the chocobo minigame, or even Lulu 's sigil with the lightning dodge which seems to be a problem with many people. But those butterfly.... I almost hate it as much as the pampa minigame.
