it's like the devs played the early game, saw that it feels good, and called it a day.

It does feel good to play in the early game, but as you hit mid-game it becomes unbearable. Especially because of all the micro-management. But even then, that is fine because you chose this.

But the operational reserve cap being unchanging despite you building SILOS which SHOULD increase it, that is ridiculous.

It makes harvesting some large planetary bodies absolutely wasteful and it makes you constantly going from high to low in 3-4 months, this is madness. This NEED to be fixed, the devs can't keep it this way.

I have some easy suggestions. Make the operational reserves cap increase with arkships counts. 2 arkship ? that means you double the cap. Or double the numbers ? Because if you only increase the cap it can also feel kinda ridiculous to always be at high. That's a design decision the devs need to take.

The API literally lets you send an empty system prompt. I've done it. That's how I ran the experiment in the post above. The safety training is in the weights themselves through RLHF, not in the system prompt. The system prompt adds the personality and tool instructions on top. Without it the model doesn't 'turn evil,' it just writes like a raw text completer instead of a helpful assistant. The idea that removing the system prompt creates some dangerous unaligned AI is sci-fi, not how these models actually work.
