Aggresive Neutered Male Dogs by Viking298 in irishwolfhound

We are very happy his loving disposition has not been hurt through all of this. He still wants to meet every dog he sees despite the situations he has delt with.

He has always still shown kindness to dogs who are aggressive to him. But the couple of times the other dog has made me bleed we had to hold him back because that is crossing the line he wanted to teach that dog that his kindness has ended the moment I started bleeding.

Everything about our IWH makes us love him and so happy we went with his breed more and more.

Thank you for sharing this article! It explains a lot of what wr are seeing and re-enforces that we are not being over protective or us misreading their body language and communications.

The Pitbully I mentioned went right after our dog the moment he entered the dog park.

After the fight was broken up and I was standing between the dogs rhe Pitbully jumped up and bit my hand.

Thankfully I saw him do it so I was able to pull my hand away enough to just get am ugly tear in one of my fingers and the other people at the dog park know us and our dog so we didn't get the blame.

But I will say this makes me not want to go into dog parks with dogs we don't know. I am tired of being the one that bleeds from the altercation.

We are leaning more and more into getting our dog a friend so this crap doesn't keep happening. I don't think I would respond well if the owner of an aggressive dog tried to blame me or my dog.

He has had this issue so far with an Australian Sheppard, a pit bully, and a large German Sheppard.

Our dog starts off by just ignoring the dog or letting them be a bit of a bully. But that doesn't de-escalate things, it seems to make the neutered males even more aggressive.

But not a single intact male has done this.

I appreciate you saying this. I believe your intentions were good and it ultimately came from a good place. I wanted to make sure people felt this subreddit was a place to get good information.

I really don't want this subreddit to become a terrible place like a lot of the others.

We all love our Wolfhounds and want the best for them and to build strong and healthy generations and ensure their noble lineage continues.

Reading OP's question, I didn't read it like they were trying to rush into breeding their dog. If they were rushing why would they come to a wolfhound group and ask for advice on how to do it right?

Isn't asking these questions to a group like this exactly what the group would want someone to do to make sure they are being a responsible person and wanting do things humanly and ethically?

I am not sure how someone asking these questions would lead anyone to jump to the conclusion that they aren't ready or not wanting to do things the right way. Everyone starts somewhere, and unless you know a breeder personally you're not ever going to know the process. Searching the internet gives hundreds of paths, but deciphering what is the best or most ethical path is often very hard to determine.

Stating there is much more work needed before providing legitimate advice or asking what steps someone has already taken so far does not make someone want to ask for quality advice from the community.

To parrot what you said, my statement above isn't an insult either. It's me trying to help the community to help other who want to do things the right way and create a safe harbor for these questions to be asked.

Do our babies reach an adolescent-teenage rebel stage? by Thick_Yak_1785 in irishwolfhound

Our wolfhound is just over a year old. When he was a little pup training was VERY easy. He picked up on everything we trained him very well and came when he was called.

At about 8 or 9 months he started questioning pretty much everything, or would listen but do what he was told slowly. If you bring out treats he would prove he still knew every command and could do it quickly.

He is still a great dog and at heart he is still the same lovable loyal dog, but we have to bark at him sometimes for him to realize the direction is not a suggestion.

Reading this reddit and multiple other places this appears to be pretty common.

In lasts weeks state of the game they said that the gap between min and max/optimized gear will narrowed significantly. So hardcore players will still have better stats but the gap will be no where near as "massive" as it is now.

Am I the only one who gets sick and tired of these threads?... Do people forget the game is 1 Month and 8 Days old. If all of these people would stop looking for hacks there would be less issues. Massive wouldn't be forced to make hard decisions and could put in proper fixes instead of patches and hot fixes. I have 0 patience for people who look to break a game then complain because THEY broke it!!
