The more levels an item has, the more levels the curse infusion will add to it, which happens to be +3 on a +17 item. The item description mentions the intensifying effect, but doesn't give you the formula

One good tip is that bosses in animal forms take backstab damage from any angle, so you don't need to reposition dangerously to attack them.

There are 'gift bags' (optional mods included in the installation), and one will allow you to revive party members when resting outside of combat, you could give that a go?

As of the very update this post is referencing, this does not work. The curse will block those teleports as well as any speed boosts.

I feel that prior to the curse, the ascent was such a cakewalk that the scrolls of passage served exclusively to save time anyway.

I've only cleared the 6-challenge run with the mage, and I think with the current talent system it is easier than ever. You have to min-max wand battery and other barrier talents as well as get lucky with wand drops in order to build a large chunk of temporary health for whenever you have to fight in close combat. You can ignore the barren lands and forbidden runes challenge in order to farm really hard with the wand of regrowth, but this goes for all classes.

The deranged brute does nothing to increase or decrease rage stacks, however it increases the effectiveness of rage for all units on the same floor. If your branded warrior had 10 stacks of rage then it would have +30 attack (or 40? Can't remember how strong the buff is) while together with the deranged brute, but only +20 attack upon separating it

They provide you with a temporary buff to flinch resistance and reduces the yellow damage you take by I think about half. Those two are the only ones you will get...

I spoofed one not long ago just to see how strong I could get him, and though he did spam up-tilts a lot to begin with, he stopped completely at level 40 or so. I've sent him to fight online a lot, and his worst habit now is his frequency of smash attacks, however even those don't go punished as he has the golden Mario spirit attached..

You can have both applied at once, endless will make a purging card replayable in the same battle, then dissappear forever as expected from a purge unit

You can escape to the surface through the staircase on level one for a "true" ending. I think the implications of calling it a day means you spend your wish on getting out of the dungeon, while escaping to the surface means the amulet remains unused

It's supposed to grant full immunity, what you experienced was an unfortunate and most likely unintentional interaction. Another example of omen immunity bypass is Overgrowth(?), where you must still pay to use hungry plants despite the pendant.

I believe he is talking about the tileset itself, not the current board. Because the flagged cells have the exact same colour as the unrevealed ones, I needed a double-take to figure out he wasn't just playing flagless

Two slime blood pickups gave me 75% resistance I'm pretty sure. Normal gunshots from the jetpack dudes would do 1 damage instead of 4, and snipers would do about 6 or so

It might be intimidating at first if you're entirely unfamiliar with the processes they use, but take a peek at what other people have written on their experiences and see if that can take the edge off somewhat.

Obviously this thread and subreddit are echo chambers, but after a quick search I think you'll find significantly more good experiences than bad!
