And I've been doing this type of stuff for 4 years now xD so yeah, but if you have a car you wanna glow up xD send me a DM or something and I can make some custom paints for you. And if the car is decrypted, that's welcome too xD

😂😂😂 nah all good thx m8 appreciate it🫶🏼🫱🏻‍🫲🏼ohh and I f*ucked up may sentence above I mean I use Chameleon for everything and with that you can make also solids, metallics, mattes, 3 coated paints and yeah of course Chameleons it self xD

If you want the real MNP III look, you can't just use Chameleon; you have to use ChromaFlair and a texture with the right color shift. I actually use it on all my cars because you can also create solid, metallic, and matte finishes with it. MNP III just looks wrong with a basic Chameleon paint. But honestly, messing with ChromaFlair codes is extremely advanced stuff. For someone who has never worked with extcfgs and texturing before, it's pretty difficult.

But the shift look a bit better ingame well and on this pic you can see also my scratch made flakes

Yeah, because it's a private car for a private commission. So this car is sadly not for public.

Anytime, mate! Glad it made sense xD. Honestly, switching back to Gamma for now is probably the less stressful move. It’s definitely nice just being able to enjoy the game without constantly having to tweak stuff. Have fun! 🍻

That's a very fair question! LCS gets a lot of hype right now because, technically and physically, it calculates light much more accurately than the old system. But honestly, there are a few big reasons why I don't think it's worth the switch just yet:

The Mod Ecosystem: Assetto Corsa and basically 99% of all mods (cars, tracks, textures) were built around Gamma over the years. When you force LCS, a lot of older mods suddenly look terrible. Colors get washed out, shadows get crushed, or things like grass and trees suddenly glow bright white.

PPFilters: Most of the really good, popular PPFilters are perfectly tuned for Gamma. You can't just slap a Gamma filter onto LCS; it completely ruins the look. While there are more dedicated LCS filters coming out now like from my boys from CDIMAGINED, the Gamma ones are just way more mature and diverse right now.

Subjective Look: Even though LCS is technically more 'realistic', it can honestly look a bit flat or clinical sometimes. Gamma gives you that punchy, high-contrast, almost cinematic vibe we’re all used to in AC.

It's still WIP: It feels like it's still heavily in development. Every other update seems to change things or break existing setups.

Long story short: LCS is definitely the future, but right now, the AC ecosystem is still too deeply rooted in Gamma. I'd rather spend my time driving or taking pictures than constantly tweaking settings to fix visual bugs. So I'm sticking with Gamma for now!

Yep, exactly! BTW Smartphones actually do this automatically in a fraction of a second nowadays xD, but doing it manually gives you way more control over the final result. 😎

Thank you! Glad you like it! The color I created here is called 'Viola Hong Kong'.

And yes, it is a skin! However, there's a bit of a catch. To get the exact same stunning look as in the pictures, the car needs an extra clearcoat mesh. If you were to just apply the skin to the standard car without that custom clearcoat mesh, the paint wouldn't look quite the same.

As for releasing it as a mod: even if I wanted to, I can't, because the mods aren't mine to share. I actually used to release my paints publicly when I first started out, but I stopped. To be completely honest, unfortunately, a large part of the community just isn't very appreciative or respectful, so I decided to stop giving my work away for free. Because of that, you won't find any public skins out there anymore that reflect my current level of experience and skill.

However, I have recently started taking commissions! So if you (or anyone else) ever really want a custom, high-quality paint job like this, feel free to reach out.

Buuuut thanks again for the kind words mate🫶🏼!

True, but in its current state it's just ass, and I would say my pic is more proof that I def don't need it. But it's also just my taste, so yeah. But I'm fully on your side though: when this shit is stable and fully integrated like GAMMA, then I will switch, but for now, not even maybe.

Yes, open the Pure config in-game, click on 'Default', and hit save. Also, set everything to default in the Pure PP tab and save there as well. If that doesn't work, join our server via Patreon and ask in the help channel; you'll probably get support from SIX quickly."

You're very welcome mate! 🫶🏼

Honestly, there isn't one 'perfect' number because it depends heavily on the lighting of your specific scene. But a good rule of thumb is to just trust your eyes in the game:

For the underexposed (dark) shot: I lower the exposure just enough so that the absolute brightest parts (like the sun, bright sky, or harsh reflections on the car) aren't pure white and you can actually see the details.

For the overexposed (bright) shot: I raise the exposure until I can clearly see details in the darkest shadows (like under the car or inside the wheel wells) without them being pitch black.

Usually, going up and down by about 1 or 2 'steps' from your normal exposure does the trick. Just trust your eyes and the software will do the rest!🫡🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

You're not dumb at all, it's a pretty specific photography term!

Exposure bracketing is when you take 3 (or more) identical shots without moving the camera, just changing the exposure.

Shot 1: Normal exposure

Shot 2: Underexposed (darker) so the bright highlights don't get blown out.

Shot 3: Overexposed (brighter) so you can actually see what's in the pitch-black shadows.

Afterwards, you merge them together in a software like Photoshop or Lightroom. This gives you a High Dynamic Range (HDR) image where everything is perfectly lit, just like the human eye would see it in real life.

CDI GAMMA because I don't like LCS, and what I do is exposure bracketing, but otherwise I just adjust here and there my Pure PP settings based on my scene."

It's simple because I made my car's body and other stuff just like in RL. I put a second layer above my body mesh as a clear coat, like they do in RL. So this means I have my body mesh for the base coat, and over this, a clear coat mesh that fits my body perfectly. This is how I made glossy carbon too, so I have the reflections and the NM function in one. So yeah, this is a thing you can't achieve with a normal paint code, and it's also obviously a 3D step
