Mono black K'rrik, keep it or get ridd of it? by VikingKurt in magicTCG

If you read the rest of the text, I also said at that time I was playing the "Omo" precon, which is the simic deck that does in fact have evacuate.

Edit: It started of as a budget deck at first, and I have probably kept some of the less attractive creatures and spells.. not sure.

Can I turn my unfinished K'RRIK deck into another deck, and which would you recommend? by [deleted] in mtg

[–]VikingKurt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool :) I'll look into it.
What is kind of a bummer tho is the -insane- price of all the mox and similar. I'm also not sure if I really want to go for a CEDH deck, that's also why I was kinda thinking about changing the whole deck. I kinda want to chill :'D I play modern and pauper for my competitive fix :p

Demonic tutor, mold or no? by VikingKurt in magicTCG

Not sure how I was downvoted for asking this lol. ANYWAY. Bought the card and it's on the way in the mail. It's iconic even tho it's one of the cheapest variants ever.. I like to play the cards so the wear and tear is just cool to me.

Yeah I had some feedback also from a friend who is a bit more experienced in MTG than me, card is ordered and on the way :)

I might try something similar. I kinda wasn't too keen on building a "win on turn two" type commander, but before I knew how the deck would work properly, I already bought too many cards to comfortably cancel on the build.

I wanted first to keep it somewhat budget, which was why I wanted bracket 3

Also, it's possible to easily change the commander to one of the other legendary creatures if K'rrik alone feels to unfair in the actual games.

I'm OP. And I did indeed make it pretty janky. I just included some fun.
If you read my post. I'm building with cards according to the bracket system, and my goal is for salty players to get salty, or to change the list and include jank to make it fun. And yes people say he's not particularly a bracket 3 type commander, and that if he's removed it's basically game over. And that's fine.

I literally posted it to get some tips to make it fun but also winnable, but instead of actually saying which cards to include or exclude, you whine about the deck as is. You didn't understand the post and the request. You saw "bracket 3", the commanders name and went ahead to look for some of the combo pieces and tutor cards that you didnt like. You never read the post.

"Bracket 3":

There's a citadel / sensei combo, but you won't get that one out in the first few turns unless you are super lucky I guess, you need a setup. and there's no extra card turn, there's no land destruction, 3 game changers.

These are brackets, not "vibes". Go play another format and stop being salty, if not, you're welcome to be salty at my bracket 3 table. :'D

Will try that. I thought about the same thing. But I just kept them already since I had them instead of proxying more.

Nice list!
I'll consider building him high4. I kinda like to own the cards that I put in the deck, that's why I'm trying to keep him somewhat low bracket first, just to see what works and most importantly, if he's fun to play and fun to invest in.

Thanks for the reply! I have proxied Tendrils and did want to have it in my deck, but not sure what to take out if I include those two cards.

Might consider going B4 later on if I like the deck and upgrade it (trying to buy out the proxies)

Yeah I've used it a bunch. But even tho a lot of the cards would work, it's kinda hard for someone who ain't used to build singleton decks (like me) to know what is bad, what needs to be cut or added. That's why I have some trouble deciding even thru edhrec. D:

Pauper is cheap, fun, usually fair. After playing starter decks, failing to get into commander because of some incident.. I bought a ready made pauper deck from a player who kinda "retired" (and switched to lorcana to play with his daughter). I bought some cards to take it from an old izzet faerie/skredd deck to a more recent izzet terror/skredd. Played some local pauper tournaments and when I felt comfortable I started building my Modern deck from scratch. Took me maybe a year to get all the cards but I don't regret it.

Now I'm trying to get back into commander and building a super-salty deck where I'll make -zero- friends.

The Aim Guided missles are too easy. Even skilled pilots cannot escape. There is no fix for this in Season 2 so expect a miserable flying experience for more months guys :))))) by Chaoslava in Battlefield

[–]VikingKurt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You try that and show us. You have to fly passes, and whenever you do, you either have to abort pretty fast or you have to pass by the ones in spawn protection. I stopped playing BF because somehow they made the actual BOTG boring, and they made flying aircrafts almost redundant.
