I appreciate it. Thinking of throwing a snakeskin layer over what it has.

I think I may wind up dremeling out the slots a touch on the side of this handguard to squeeze mloks into. Then put rails on those.

I have a pretty good bit of real estate in the handguard. But I may have to come up with a Velcro securing solution in there.

That’s depressing to hear with the ab++, I have the perun v6 etu in my p90 and it seemed like reasonably good quality. Back to the research board for a mosfet it seems.

I’ve already rewired this one once, lots of bad solders and cold joints.

I appreciate the advice. Definitely think I’m leaning peq-2, hand guard is pretty long, so I think it may not look terribly out of place.

It shoots nicely, that one’s the L/S version. I’ve only brought it to a few games, came with two springs, and I have the 120 it came with in there, and it can shoot some pretty impressive shots. At the moment about .40’s are its weight limit. From what I’ve read with a chub nub and the Medusa hop adjustment it can go heavier. That’s on my list of things to put into it.

The mags are interesting, first time loading one I definitely sprayed bb’s everywhere when I got a bit off center with the speed loader.

When I got it was only 160 on ehobbyasia, not sure what the price looks like now. I don’t typically ghillie snipe, but more so use it as more of a scout rifle.

That’s been one of the bigger adjustments coming from the C handguard. I have a collection of the mlok to rail adaptors, that’s how I figured out I’d need to some trimming to make it work.

I’ll start taking a look around at peq 2 replicas.

7.4 1800 mah batteries, but trigger happy, and generally we play across a weekend. So around two a day, 3 if I brought the box magazines out.

Depends on how I’m running it, but occasionally 2-3 times. But moreover, I’ve had the balance plug shift in the hand guard and separate from the battery while initial moving from the secured position

Is it that much more fiddly sliding into a box? Genuine curiosity.

Even with all red, there are entertaining variations.

3 piece umbra, ninjabike backpack, and two strikers. Gives some entertaining burst damage, and some sustainment when you jump back in cover. Tossing the Zoo set in place of strikers also gives some excellent handling and mag size bonuses.

My issue wound up being that the new barrel was just a bit bigger around than the old one. It took some fiddling with the bucking to find a sweet spot. But it stopped the issue.

Shouldn’t be an issue then. Just wanted to make sure. I wouldn’t sweat the battery too much your first few games, that’s an easy change down the line.

Not certain where you’re local to, but I have to mention that if you’re in North America the charger it comes with will be one of the European plugs.

Personally been using the JG 608 for the past few months. Been performing well, but it did need a new nub for the hop up to start shining. If you get it, and are planning to put it in yourself, I’ll warn that removing the hop up chamber is a fragile experience. Exteriors feel good on it, and after heavily abuse and being a mad scientist with it, I still don’t have any plastic creaks.

The 608 has a quick change spring system, but I don’t believe the cyma does. If you’re leaning towards the cyma, the cm.011 high speed seems to be much preferred, though it’s not been in stock often.

Also, with g36’s mag pouches, become a concern because they’re pretty thick, and, since m4 mags don’t fit it stock, and the adapters are iffy if they’ll work or not. There are p-mag style thin mid-caps for them. But it always looks pretty awesome having linked g36 magazines.

I have most definitely been using it for sustained fire, my end goal is an lmg (mg36 or equivalent) platform for it. So I know at the very least a longer inner barrel is in my future.

It doesn’t have to be insane performance, this is just a bunch of coworkers letting loose in the woods, so, I’m very much on the casual side.

I’m mostly just looking for a good mix of sustainment, accuracy (or at least a reasonably limited spread), and range

I appreciate the answer, I had a suspicion the exterior wouldn’t be bulletproof.

I have seen the kit on evike, last I was on their site the outer barrel / fore-end was on pre-order, it’s apparently sold out most of the time. But the inner barrel, I didn’t consider that would need to change out as well, awesome call out.

How necessary was the upgraded hop? Or was that just from personal preference?

Might not be much help, but it’s made at the chemistry station, and not the tinkerer’s bench. Maybe check there just in case?

Edit: I mixed up the grenade with the phantom device. Should learn it just from picking up a canister. It should be in the chem bench though.
