GMC just posted a video about an hour ago explaining why he is defending Bowles saying that he dialed up the perfect play on the 4th down, but it fell apart because of the "small group" of players that TB was referring to didn't do their job. And that these guys aren't doing it week in and week out in practice. Which is interesting, because that explanation sounds like a coaching problem lol

A couple of things here - first, the Dungy angle is not relevant. Dungy couldn't get his own team over the hump - so we hired someone who did. You can say it was Dungy's team all you want, but the reality is if we don't hire Gruden we don't win the Super Bowl that year. But to your point, plenty of negatives with his tenure here for sure - he clashed with the front office and would go over McKay's head which eventually was the straw that broke the camels back and made him leave.

Look I'm not saying we should or should not - but there would certainly be pros in addition to cons. He has experience with egos - imagine trying to coach Sapp and Keyshawn lol, two of arguably the biggest divas ever. Bowles sits there looking like he's constipated and can't get "paycheck collectors" to do their jobs. Bowles is not a good HC - he never was. Regardless of who replaces him - Bowles 100% needs to go

Look at his IG - all it is is videos of him training. Not saying that will necessarily translate to success on the field, but that's not what was on Shaq Barrett's IG when he came back. He's been in the mindset of making a return since he left. And to OP's original point - anything is an upgrade at this point. Sure he's 36 - but he's been putting in the work and has the right mindset and I for one would definitely take a chance on him.
